>>7897681They're probably very cheap to produce and buy wholesale because there's barely any design costs to recoup; it's all licensing & materials. You probably only need to sell about a 1/4 of your stock at RRP to break even, and although you see so many Pops clearanced it seems like enough of them do sell well enough to generate decent profits.
On that note I can understand why they've completely taken over independent comic shops - especially here in the UK where suppliers of imported figures (weebshit etc) overcharge enormously, often more than importing the thing yourself plus VAT. I don't blame the owners of these stores but it must feel a lot like selling your soul to the devil with every shipment.
