My fav figure is that mismagius, because its the same size as a standard figuarts stand, so you can make it float. my second and third are the wct gengar, and the alolan marowak.

My least fav figure is the mega banette because it doesn't stand.

honetly i wouldn't mind a pallosand with ball jointed towers. sorta like tail figuarts joints. the likelihood of pallosand getting a figuarts is kind 0% though. I think its possible to get a figuarts scorbunny or incineroar though.

These are out here and they look okay. They don't look as nice as the Tomy USA ones other than jolteon who looks a bit better sculpt-wise. They're much more expensive than the Tomy 3-pack was of course and I dunno if the head is as poseable.

Just bought this porygon. it's from a Japanese series of desk figures. The pixelated effect that comes with it looks neat. Also the whole thing is actually a cellphone stand but as a figurine it's pretty cool

Not yet, ive finaly collected good enough variety of pokemon to make pokemonrelated pictures, most other pictures are of figma from other IPs. i'll hopefully be gathering a few more pokemon and use other characters as opponents or other travelers.

But more Pokemon related pictures should be coming.

Im still doubtful about getting trainer figmas/figuarts. They are nice but also too big for most pokemon toys. Scale World trainers kinda fit better but yeah, they are overly expensive cheap quality statues.

That's wrong actually. Scale World trainers are like 1/20, they would be entirely too small for most Pokemon toys like pictured above, the Pikachu would be like half the size of the trainer.
The trainer figmas/figuarts scale much better with typical Pokemon toys, almost perfectly I'd say even. You can clearly see that in this photo >>7912929

Yeah I agree. Scale World are really cool, but clearly too small for anything other than themselves sadly. I do hope we get more figmas. Personally I'd love to see Nessa, but Bea or Marnie would be fine. They're good waifu-bait to guarantee to sell well. The player characters are too bland, thankfully.

It depends. You really have to mix and match different manufacturers to get scales as close as we can. I discovered yesterday that wct Gyarados and Dragonite are perfect scale for figma.

scale world just depresses me desu. It was a great idea at first, until you look at the prices. the silph co set is 110$. I have no clue how how bandai came up with that price, when the wct lapras is less than 10$.

Honeslty scale world could've been HUGE (and i mean big) if they just lowered the prices and imported them. Seriously, can anyone explain why silph co is 110$?

Just go by close enough. The sources are inconsistent. Anime oversizes/undersizes all the time.
The games dont display most correctly either except battle revolution.
"Close enough" will be the best way to scale.

Acrylic. Miniature paints will work best. If you have a hobby or gaming store where you live. The better paint brands are Vallejo or Citadel, but even cheap hobby paint from Walmart will work if you don’t have a lot of choices.

Just make sure you thin it with water when it’s in your pallet (I use a disposable paper bowl). The goal is to slowly build up thin layers on the object you’re painting. It takes time, but it keeps it from looking thick and gloppy.

If you want to keep the paint from chipping or scratching off, get some Testers Dull Coat. If you want the seal to be really strong, spray it with Testers gloss, wait a day, then spray it again with Testers Dull.

For creatures with wings the measurement is wingspan, so Crobat's wings from tip to tip are 1.8m. I think creatures with tails it's snout to tip of the tail. No idea the rules for how winged, tailed creatures are.

Yveltal should absolutely not be bigger the zygarde, since zygarde is the third legendary in the trio. zygarde should be atleast as big as yveltal, especailly because its in its god form.

Probably the longest span of the body from one end to another is taken as the measurement. If the nose to tail tip length is just a bit over the wingspan that's what gets prioritized, if it's the wingspan that is longer even slightly then they go with that.

In Japan there's no such thing as canon, they call "canon" all officially produced media even if it contradicts each other. They don't really care about consistency and the discrepancies are typically hand-waved with some poor excuse like alternate worlds or some shit. Forgive me for asking what might be a silly question as I never followed Pokemon merch but when I was in a store some years ago I saw a Solgaleo figure. I don't know if it was posable or a >statue but I remember him being around an inch tall or so, pretty small and I was wondering if you guys would know which one I'm thinking about. It looked like what could have been a gachapon toy and I desperately hope that's not true because if it is then finding one will probably be a nightmare.

Does there exist a compiled catalog of Pokemon toys? English releases are easy enough to find but when it comes to regional exclusives it gets a bit hairy not knowing Japanese.

the wct eeveelutions are action pose, while tomy is standing pose. they are the same in quality but wct is bigger.

Man, why has there never been transforming figures? I know a lot of pokemon would make for great transforming toys like a Solgaleo/Lunala/Necrozma set where you can take Necrozma apart to make armor for the other two, a set of 2 Beldum and a Metang that combine into a Metagross, or just make more plushies that turn inside out, but with 3 layers of skins for those 3 stage families.

Yes That is me - I am focusing on "cheaper" WCT now because these are getting some views everything else i do does not rank high on youtube as im too small! But i do import a lot of stuff from Japan - will soon be doing reviews of Scale Wrold, Have all the Moncolles from EX to now, Have all the GEM series Figures and the Anime girls from the Kotobukiya line, all the terrariums and all the get collections volumes. So i do collect expensive pokemon stuff as well and plan to review everything at some point!

Yeah UK, As mentioned the Blaziken from s3 has the same thing but on the hair, nowhere near as glaring though.

The previous s2 figs didn't have this problem. Not seen the other s3 battle figures in hand to see if they got the same problem.

No idea what the addresses even relate to, it's not like it says Tomy or made in China as usual. Its got a UK address, what looks like a Danish address and a US address on it. The UK address is for Character (a pretty big toy company) and the US one i think is for Wicked Cool Toys in Bristol,PA . No idea for the Danish one.

It's like some sort of log of the places involved in the import process or something. It's bollocks

Yeah, that's the problem with things more aimed at collectors, there are tons of other reviews from more well known channels. So, reviewing the WCT stuff is actually a great niche because those bigger channels usually don't review these more retail friendly items. Anyway, good luck with growing your channel.

Finally got this big guy and I gotta say I'm really disappointed. It's not like solgaleo or gyarados both feeling a lot more highly produced than regular wct, Dragonite instead it's just a big battle feature figure with the same awful articulation and detail even if there is not any stupid gimmick to hold back the whole thing. They could at least put it with a base for flying display.
Let's hope for a 2020 with more gyarados tier stuff instead of more happy meal dragons

Yeah I feel you anon. I have both sitting on my shelf next to my figma trainers. Whilst I'm grateful to finally have a non-gimmick, in-scale Dragonite, it does feel like he got the short end of design compared to Gyarados. It's a bit baffling when Gyarados is the more complex design and they went all out... That figure just blew me away in terms of sculpt, posing and scale. If they could produce more figures like that they'd be a worthy successor to carry on what Tony was just getting started with. A click jointed Onix would be rad as fuck.

only way you'll get a better one is if you commission someone to make a custom one. This will probably be one of the only Obstagoon plushes made, it's not overly popular and seeing as it's a biped, it's harder for companies to make a decent one

I wanted to get some decent scaled figures to pair with my Nendoroid Red and Green but this is the best I can do. Any recommendations on a Charizard? I don't want it to be that much bigger than Blastoise. I settled on getting a Mega Vensaur from Tomy and customize it to a regular Venusaur.

the best way is to show there is large consumer support for it. continued support showed bluefin that kamen rider belts were viable in the usa. there are a lot of similar cases with things like gundam p bandai kits and dragonball figuarts exclusives.

They've already made lots of money off of the two releases we have of Charizard already. They're not gonna release a new one just because you don't want to pay aftermarket prices.

It sure doesn't! Model kits are generally classified as a separate licencing deal from core action figures regardless of age range, which is why bluefin can also bring over the human model kits but can't bring over the SHF star wars figures due to hasbro holding the master licence.
Even then blufin is limited to product in production for what they can licence, as recently re-confirmed by team rider.
So even if they could, there's no new pokemon SHFs coming out to release anyways.
Unless the arts remix line continues.

They added the search term "pokemon scale world" to their search results today with 55 upcoming products. when you actually search it though no pokemnon come up.

at the very least someone in the company thought it might be coming.

I don't think wct cares about people spending 100$ on figuarts on the same way that tomy doesn't care about it either. they are different markets with some overlap. the same is for pokepla vs. mega construx and starwars model kits and lego star wars.
