Then there was this perfect storm...a 50% pricejack, photos of scraped paint, and several redos (first the + editions, then Prime3 and Bee2). I just didn't want to deal with it so I bailed.
Luckily, I'd bought Downbeat (Jazz), Willis (Hound), and Lorry (Hoist).
I do wonder how many people actually picked up the line after I dropped out. I hardly ever see MPs at toy shows and they seem to linger online (not just at Big Bad but HLJ and friends).
I see the same thing happening to the MPs that happened to Alternators and Binaltech. They had this super hardcore fanbase at the beginning. But every black Sunstreaker, Grimjack, etc chipped away at it. At the end, they were flailing wildly, with package rebranding, _another_Ravage, the original trans Arcee, and underage girls, anything to find an audience.
