They don't. The movie provides no explanation. Someone mentioned that the novelization will provide that retcon but I think we were being rused and even Story Group probably still hasn't decided on just how the fuck Sheev survived getting vaporized.

Crane is probably a bit much. I think we'll get the revitalized Sheev, which probably wouldn't be too hard. I don't think they even need to sculpt a new head, the new heads that come with Throne Sheev already look more ROTS than ROTJ and his makeup in the movie definitely leaned towards ROTS. They could just reuse the same figure but give him a red robe underneath his cloak.

What I want to know is why they decided to bury all those star destroyers. What purpose does that serve? You're on a planet nobody can find unless they have one of two wayfinders. Who are you hiding the fleet from? You think the space cops are gonna spot them and give you a citation? Did they bury them solely so that when someone eventually finds the wayfinder and gets there, they can do a big dramatic reveal? Just how long were those things buried? Were their crews buried with them?

This is the part that disappoints me the most. Absolutely nothing the Skywalkers worked for ever paid off. Everything they build crumbles. Everthing they accomplish gets reversed. Then Rey just does everything for them, and is rewarded with all this saga swag. She gets the Falcon! She gets two Skywalker lightsabers in addition to getting one of her own! She gets to live in the Lars homestead! Chewie's probably her life debt pal now! Threepio and Artoo probably belong to her too! She keeps BB-8 too because Poe apparently just let her have him! She has Luke's X-Wing! She won the fucking Star Wars lottery! She didn't struggle for any of this shit, she just showed up, got declared the most special girl ever, easily defeated the Sith, and didn't have to learn a single goddamn lesson.

It's like she's the ultimate self-insert fangirl character. Abrams just decided to push the Mary Sue lever up to max.

The worst part of this is that when TFA came out people pointed out how inefficient it must've been to create something like Starkiller Base and how those resources probably could've been better spent on a fleet with heavy firepower that could've accomplished more than a single superweapon. It seems like Abrams probably caught wind of that complaint and decided to have an entire fleet of Death Star Destroyers, even though it now raises the question of why the fuck they didn't just use those in the first place.

You're missing the point of the problem. It was never going to help make her an interesting character. She'll always be garbage. The point was plot cohesiveness. When one movie has a bunch of blatant buildup for a character's parents only for the next to go "lol doesn't matter" it comes off as bad writing. It doesn't help that people wanted an explanation for her ridiculous powers. When the third movie switches back and goes "lol they actually did matter" it doesn't fix the problem. It just adds more to not making the trilogy cohesive. Even if it was shit writing, JJ should have stuck with Rian's option just for the sake of not making it any worse.

There's no toyline. There's Black Series stuff, the Galaxy of Heroes stuff and some generic lightsabers and other miscellaneous toys but there's no actual dedicated TROS toy line, which is the first time that's happened for any Star Wars movie.

Disney has a tendency not to give a shit about their live action properties when it comes to pins, especially after three movies. There's really no other way to look at it, though. The movie goes out of its way to show us that Rey is the one who's going to fix everything. TFA and TLJ already showed us that the heroes of the OT accomplished nothing. Every single victory they gained was reversed or invalidated.

Barely anything is coming in anywhere. They didn't need that at all. The only shot that at all required earlier Rey footage was the one where Leia hugs her. Even then they could've digitally altered her hair to match whatever Rey's current look was, just like they digitally altered Leia's hair and clothes.

The only reason Rey goes back to something close to her old look is because JJ can only ever play to nostalgia, even if it's something as petty as "look Rey's TFA look is back!"

If instead of making it real world scale, they just made an upsized version of the original toy, just big enough to fit two 6" drivers in the head part, then that would make a great next Haslab kickstarter. I'd pay up for that. Any bigger would be ridiculous though.

Hasbro probably just offers what they think are desirable characters as exclusives for stores. Wal-Mart is very shit though at handling distribution, you may never see any of an exclusive figure at some stores and then over a year later the figure will be sold only on their website at $5 a figure.

Pic related is one of the dudes from Hasbro who's in charge of the toyline saying that the Mimban Stormtrooper that nobody had even seen at retail was in fact out, they were just super rare, because Wal-Mart hardly sent any to retailers and then just kept them sitting in warehouses. I ended up getting some finally about two months ago for around $5 off their website when they slashed the price.

Basically you boil water, then pour it into a mug. Dip the figure in there for about a minute, that softens up the plastic enough that you can pull out softer parts without damaging them.

You can also just microwave a mug of water for about 3 minutes if you don't want to get any pots out or use the stove.

It would have been much better. They should have just had Ben's fall be the focus of trilogy, much like Anakin's in the PT, while bringing in Rey who helps pull him back towards the Jedi path in the final film thus giving an actual reason for it to be called Rise of Skywalker instead of Mary Sue wankfest. Neither JJ or Rian saved Star Wars. They're both destructive. First JJ with his galaxy reset and introducing Mary Sue, then Rian with his decision to be experimental and destroying Luke, and finally JJ again with the doubling down on Mary Sue and shitting on the Chosen One.

Nether of them gave us good films for a Star Wars sequel trilogy, but JJ did give us films that could've fun space adventure side stories.
