As a kid I had a red Saber Tiger and my neighbor had a yellow Zaber fang, so we traded parts so we could each have a half-n-half colored zoid.
My beef with model kits as a kid was that they only took about 2 hours to assemble. Now that I know about sanding nubs, paintjobs, and customization ect, I can get a lot more fun out of them, and produce a much prettier finished product.
Unfortunately my health tanked super bad, so I've got a bunch of plastic tubs full of HMM Berserk Fury bits collecting dust in my closet until the day I'm healthy enough to get back into the model kit game.
One day I'd like to get an HMM Saber Tiger and mod it to have the chunky proportions of the original, with the articulation of the HMM.
