There will always be a market for "adult collectibles" but I don't see toys ever truly dying out. There's too much industry and money invested to give up the towel, they'll make it work or go bankrupt trying. At the end of the day I think electronics can only go so far, even kids today enjoy the feeling of a tangible item they can use to shoot missiles at their sibling and staring at a screen all day can't ever replace this feeling. Plus, parents are starting to pick up on the idea that an iPad isn't a babysitter much like how people are also starting to realize that eating like dogshit is bad for you so we have a healthy food trend that's shaping the food industry. Toys won't ever die but hopefully companies take note and stop churning out so many pegwarmers and crap nobody asked for. I think shelfbloat has something to do with it all frankly.
>>7920948I don't think kids care about Funko at all because they're not fun. They're just statues at their core but not even impressive ones and they mostly play on either nerd culture or nostalgia. I have seen a few teens into them though but definitely not kids.
>>7920951Honestly most of the bronies I talk to tell me the toys are almost entirely shit and most own few if any, definitely not enough to sustain an industry.
