I tend to have limited myself to just 1:18 figures, but there's just too much cool looking shit in other lines and scales that i can't pass up.

I've been buying Fortnite figures despite never playing the game or knowing who the characters are.
Same shit with anime characters like this. Who the fuck is this?! but I loves me the ape-yness look with the giant poseable hands.

After I walked away from Modern TV/Film/Comics. So within the past few years. Have been scooping up lots of old stuff at bargain prices. Don't even care about condition as much, gives me something to fix/paint.

I bought up all of the old Filmation Cartoon Flash Gordon 3.75in figs, plan on repainting them to be cartoon accurate so "beaters" were fine, even the HTF Vultan came with custom wings so I saved some cash there.

Will eventually start repurposing old toys with 3D printing (new, more accurate accessories, replacing broken tails, etc)

Eventually plan on going forward with making my own customs for figures never made for my old favorite lines.

My collection is tiny due to frugalness so nearly everything is what I care about as opposed to flavor of the month on a whim purchases, even though it is still mostly a random seeming assortment.

I tend to take a long time debating if I truly wish to spend money on something and that I won't regret it later. This often results in something suddenly skyrocketing in price thus making the decision for me. Only rarely do I regret not jumping earlier so it's a good way to help manage my collection spending.

I've got this issue going on currently. I fell into the trap of 'oh well I already have x amount of Star Wars stuff' or ' oh well I only need this for the BAF part but I might as well buy the whole wave of Marvel Legends" so here I am with a fuckton of essentially plastic trash that I am going to go through and sell. It's gotten so bad I hope for BAF's I hate just to cherry pick. I hate how much worse they are becoming with their re-uses as well. I bought that shit Colossus I didn't want to complete the Juggernaut BAF, only to have to buy it entirely again to get the Colossus I really did want.

I love the BAF concept, and it's amazing when the entire wave and BAF are winners, but then it sucks when there are stinkers I don't want bundled into it. I skipped Lebowski Thor because I just don't want the other figures.

I'm grateful I'm done with the MCU, I'll be saving a lot of money going forward.

Before that i was collecting what was readily available like Transformers, Toybiz ML, and any cool thing KB Toys had on clearance.

because i started earning less money, i had decided to focus on specific toys which left me a lot of useless stuff to sell. as of today, i still end up buying shit because i get a good deal on it, like Overwatch and Fortnite.

BAFs are great when it's a huge toy that would cost a fortune on its own. They're shit when it's Jubilee or Hit-Monkey or some other tiny thing that they either fear won't sell on its own, or so in demand they can sell a full wave of shit to get you that one toy you do want.

I ordered Figuarts Kyrie in november (hasn't arrived yet) and already regret it.
It would be far easier not to buy useless crp if Star Wars had good line-ups and wouldn't be full of alternate versions and updates of figures I already got. i swore to only buy one Vader and now have 3...

Long ago. I don't give a fuck to impress anyone, especially not /toy/ retards. I don't buy things to make your fat ass happy. I don't waste money on overpriced toys(fuck $40 each for Boss Fight Sam & max) and "poorfag" is not an insult that means anything to me, like I'll spend it anyway just to earn respect of total faggots I'd probably punch if I ever met face-to-face(they'd probably ask for it though).

That said, while I collect a lot of 3P and KO Transformers out of interest, the river of bitch tears from the anti-3P crowd is just an extra bonus to me.

My brain did say a particular hobby after cleaning up. After pursuing it, I’m not out a bunch of space and it’s something that gets my outside while scratching that toy/tcg itch. Unlike the latter.

With the limit on figures I’ve stopped the whole meme thing completely. I do like perverted figures though...but the idea of owning them is another.
