They're waterslide decals iirc. You cut them out, let them soak in water for a few seconds, then apply them to your model. You need to use stuff like Mr.MarkSofter and Mr.MarkSetter to get the best results I think. It's a little more work and time investment, but the finished product is better looking than a regular sticker.

I think his point is it required extra monetary input over just buying the kit itself.
It's a fair thought process to have. Not all of us are seasoned model kit experts.

I still have a boxed model/resin kit(I can't even remember by now) of Christina Mackenzie from Gundam 0080 because it was the only merchandise of her I could find that wasn't super inaccurate crap, and to this day it's still unassembled because I thought I'd get around to it after actually learning how to paint models properly, after only having done some really shitty MS models back when they were cheap in the US.

Like twelve or more years later, it's still in a box, because I'm a lazy idiot. Maybe seeing this post is a sign that I should actually set aside some time to build my gunpla skills, I'm not getting any younger.

It'd also help because I'd dig having an Arsene too.

Yeah my Arsene also still in box. I'm too lazy to ever start build him.
Thinking about to find some gundamfag from nerest area and pay him small fee for build Arsene properly, also paint him with bright glossy colors.

Long shot but what's your area? I'm not super skilled with paint but looking into this guy more, he doesn't really require much painting skill unless you must have shading as well.

Not OP here, how do I apply waterslides? Is it literally just soak in water and put it on? Or do I need to get anything additional.
Sorry for the dumb question, I just got my first kit that has waterslides (bandai c3p0).

Maybe. But it's always better rely on professional for better result.

I bought Arsene thinking he's already paintend, honestly willing to buld him, but his paint is kinda plain, not like on promos.

Also there's delicate wings wich is easy to broke and fuckin' Aoshima company don't send replacements outside of Japan.

I bought the SHF Shenron for $80, then I found out about this giant resin and I wouldn't have bought the SHF if I had seen the resin first, so I bought that, that was $1300, then fucking bandai unveils the dramatic scale Shenron a few months afterwards, now they may not ever sell it, but the lesson is, if it's a popular franchise, you can afford to wait for another "ultimate" version of every character to get released in due time.

To be fair to him, a lot of these things now, including this specific item advertise not needing paint as a feature of the kit. It's very easy for people who never did a model kit before to think all the details are properly colored. Even more so when most colored model kits never show you an image of the unpainted plastic on the box itself. Granted this might be partly because in Japan they pretty much never seal the box so you can easily just appraise the runners yourself, but that doesn't help when those kits come to the west and get sealed up in plastic.

Definitely look up some tutorials it can get a bit tricky. You want some nice tweezers and toothpicks, maybe even qtips for managing the removing of the slide from it's paper back and the application to the kit.

There are two chemicals that aid in the application as well. A decal Softener and a decal Setter. Plenty of guides to help you, once you got the instructions understood it is fairly easy after the first waterslide. First one is usually a lot of fears of how easy it might be to ruin. And while they are delicate, everything is fine so long as you use the fine tip tweezers and toothpicks.

Also warm water for faster release from paper.

Yeah that's typical with model kits, even the ones with colored plastic. They almost never show the kit unpainted. Most you get is a picture of the assembled and painted kit in front of the uncut runners which are easy to miss when those images on the box are rather tiny.
