To be honest I was pretty disappointed in that aspect. A good How-to should tell you why you need something and what it does and not simply stating something. Unfortunatly the book is full of just that. The sewing tips are really poor. She explained 3 different handstitches you could easily google and the machine sewing tips is simply a table with recommended stitch widths. The materials list is a bit absurd. It fills up three pages. She lists things like needles, yarn, pins and scissors. Each of the items have a useless description. Then there is how to transfer the pattern onto the fabric, which frankly is uneccesary, nobody is that dumb. And that's about it.
On the up side the patterns are really good. She guides you through it step by step with photos for each step. It's easy to understand and see what you should do. They are pretty varied, so you actually have 14 different patterns and not variations of the same. Having one pattern for a bag is also nice.
Also the design in general is pretty and easy to read.
In the end I'm disappointed by the book. The patterns are really good, but anything other then that is, much to my disappointment, useless. Noone in their right mind needs to be told the very basic materials for sewing, like yarn and needles.
I would feel much better about the book if it was just the patterns with step-by-step guides for like 25€.
Also limiting an e-book leaves a sour taste in my mouth. There is absoulty no reason for her to do that other then bringing people to buy it fast. It just leaves a bad impression.
