I recently bought a used mezco 1:12 Dredd figure and found some wear on it. Specifically, Dredd's uniform is composed of some kind of stretchy body suit which was then covered in what seems like minutely scaled pleather. Consequently, if I bend the figure in common movement areas (elbows, knees, thighs) stress fractures appear showing the top layer splitting apart and starting to break off from the stretchy body suit.

Does anyone have any recommendations for repairing this? I doubt it's possible to be good as new again, but I'd be happy with keeping it from getting worse while still keeping poseability.
