>>7945146The toyline or the storyline? You know what, it doesn't matter because both were shit. Toyline was fun but only if you could get the figures for cheap because they absolutely were not worth $15+ for a deluxe. Storyline had some interesting ideas and ramifications (like the Constructicons continuing to look at Prowl like their leader after the affair was over) but the whole thing was executed so hamfistedly and it was just a fucking mess. It was over just as soon as it began which gave none of the concepts enough time to breath and made it blatantly obvious that it was just Hasbro trying to force the comics back into being toy advertisements. They did the same shit with Titans Return but at least things didn't feel quite so rushed and everything was a little bit better thought out.
>>7945158Spike killed Scrapper so Bombshell brainwashed Prowl into joining the Decepticons and replacing him, even though they STILL had Scrapper's corpse around as a leg. I think it had something to do with needing another consciousness in their now that they were missing Scrapper and I think they chose Prowl because they figured he'd have more control over the gestalt due to his higher intelligence and cunning so he became the new head. Also psychological warfare reasons, demoralizing the Autobots by mounting one of them atop one of the greatest weapons the Decepticons had. Also had something to do with both Prowl and the Constructicons all hating Spike I think? I dunno, that whole arc was a weird blur to me.
