Look at their faces for instance. Aang's expression is one of mild chimp-like bewilderment while katara has some kind of duck face and eyes always looking upwards. Zuko is basically blank faced but thats probably the best you could hope for, but his eyes look badly painted even in promo art. Look at Aang's right hand in

Its really too bad because if you actually look at the sculpt of the body and its articulation, it looks great. Double bend knees, thigh cut, good hip mobility, flexing and pivoting ankles, and what looks like good wrist, ok elbow, and ok shoulder articulation. It all looks pretty good and the clothing itself is generally fine. But they needed some figma style interchangeable hands and faces and a few more element pieces.
