>>7950730Basically this. Little removable joints like that are a chocking hazard and would raise the age limit the toy would be appropriate for. It would also raise the price of the toy and the western market isn't used to paying high prices for in store toy purchases.
Also America is one of the most litigious countries in the world which is why toy safety is such a high prority. Even if a toy is clearly labeled ages 13 & up some dumb parent would give it to a 3year old and they would choke and the lawsuit would be immediate. They might even win it since toys are thought of as inheritently for children in America.
