I don't think that bringing back figures from Siege will reduce the amount of new figures for Earthrise. I think Hasbro is doing this now because they want to have a larger selection of figures without making more molds than they have the money for, and to make rarer figures more available. For example, we know for sure that Rung, Smashdown, and Astrotrain will all be in Earthrise. Those have been pretty hard to find (in the US at least), so by reissuing them, collectors will actually have a chance at finding them.

I passed on Leader Optimus. Never had that much love for the original design and the Ultra Magnus version left me a bit cold on its own.

Uhhh... most of them? I grabbed Cog and Sixgun, because how could you not, and few Micromaster sets just for shits, but the only things I've bought that feel like actual figures are Flywheels and Spinister. Everything else has either been an awful looking mold or a character that's boring as fuck and has had a hundred toys already.

G2 stunticons have already been done so that disqualifies the first Botcon exclusive of G2 Breakdown, but there’s a ton of other shit that’s possible.

Takara's Bumblebee from the Legends line is the one I have in my collection. I know people have problems with his big shoulders, but I think he does the job really well, and he looks great with the Autobots from Siege especially.

There are still things I need to pick up like Spinister, Sideswipe, Barricade and Ultra Magnus.
Overall Siege was pretty good for me, I started last year so it being full of staple characters wasn't so bad.

The Toyhax helmet looks better and you get detail stickers with it. Side-mounting the cannon is wrong(unless you like animation errors where his cannon moved all over the place shot to shot) & looks shit, did they seriously take a drill to that to fuck it up? And cutting the faceplate off to glue it, thing is, it still looks awful. It's just a mask, not a helmet, and now the HM can't even sit in the cockpit or anything.

That's a fucking steal for LG G2 Megatron, no? Unless he's been going for dirt cheap lately. He's a good bot and a great triple-changer, probably one of my favorites. His jet mode alone is worth 3000 yen. I may be a bit biased, though, I am a huge fag for anything G2, and I have no love for Galvatron or Arcee. However, I've heard the TR Galvy mold is actually pretty good apart from the stock facemask crap, and I've always said that the TR Blurr/Brainstorm/Arcee/whoever mold was underrated.

You're getting some good plastic either way, but I'd still lean toward Megs. It's a lot of fun to nab for under 30 bucks.

Does anyone actually even care about this apart from raging autismos? Side-mounting looks better and is easier for articulation. It's pretty obvious why they don't ever mount it on the top of the arm, even if it is what's "accurate". At this point you're better off assuming that the original model sheet was a mistake.

It's not a bad figure, but a few flaws have kept him from being anywhere close to my favorite. Mostly that his transformation is a bit fiddly, and his hip articulation feels really gimped for some reason. Plus, the paint on the LG version is kinda shit and there's a ton of it, all over transparent plastic. Mine even had a few chips right out of the box.

I don't mind, though, I got my money's worth out of the kick-ass Cerebros/Spike headmaster, which makes a great swap-in for tons of figures, thanks to its neutral colors.

Get pic-related, it's a triple lifetime supply. I've only used mine a few times, but best results were from applying with a qtip and letting it fully dry before testing, a second coat might be required if it's still loose. I'd let it dry overnight for each coat to be safe myself, but 6-8 hours should be plenty.

Actually it's the opposite: they had made a ton of Jetfire toys with fast packs already, so this time they said "let's make a single toy based on the design where we couldn't just make Jetfire a Macross Valkeryie". So they did. The big red backpack is because he's a space jet and they wanted something that looked spacey.

No prob anon, I found mine at a Menard's so whatever the bong-equivalent is should have what you need. Package designs may vary, but anything 'with future' in the title is the right stuff. I should've mentioned too, you'll want to apply a coat to both the ball AND the socket, and if you try to reassemble too soon the pledge will chunk up like half-dry nail polish.

Yeah, like I said they insisted on G1 accuracy so they based it on the Floro Dery redesign instead of a modernized blend of the toy and cartoon since the whole theme of WFC is G1 accurate designs and 5mm ports galore.

Also iirc, neither the classics or T30 had a gerwalk mode, classics only had the head and the fast pack. This one is 100% G1 but with some add ons.

I’m actually doing a through the years type of display collage where I have a figure from a different brand displayed with the rest. I’ve consider it but they are small compared to the other. Thematically it looks like manlet joke, I think Grimlock/wheel jack mold is one of the taller ones and it’s still shorter than RiD Prime there. That said if I’m missing a tall one that would scale with these guys better please share.

First time reading that, I have my copy since release and hes still good as new, the most common complains about him are the hollow bits and lack of wrist/hand articulation, but you can easily fix that with a 3p addon.

I think a leader from both Titans Return and POTP would fit well scale wise on the shelf. Maybe Overlord and Optimal Optimus? Also maybe a Combiner from Energon or Combiner Wars, but a CW Combiner is about two inches taller than the figures in your pic. This is a really neat idea for a display though!

Too much kibble, balljointed knees that get loose and an already frozen right wrist.

the t30 isn't perfect, but the transformatiom is easier, the kibble locks in place and has a sharper sculpt. my only issues with it its the frozen right wrist and that he didn't included his twin gun.

Man, I wish that HasTak would make a new Fire Convoy in the future, he'd be perfect for Earthrise as a leader class. But there's no way they would stray too far from G1 at this point, and I say that as someone that has a majority of their collection come from G1.

I'd absolutely love a Blitzwing and Octane in Earthrise. Yeah I know, they just got new toys but I don't like headmasters and IMO they hit it out of the park with Astrotrain in Siege. Could really go for that again, especially so all three would be in scale.

Good thing is that TR Octane is in scale with Astrotrain, and I also think that it's a pretty good mold that doesn't need a new figure for a while. But I'm down for an Earthrise Blitzwing, because I don't think the TR mold really suits him with his stubby legs and gorilla arms. It looks way better on G2 Megs from the LG line. So hopefully we get a better-proportioned and nicer-colored Blitzwing soon.

Anyone else excited as hell over pic related? This is one of those autistic crossovers I used to set up as a kid for days on end. I really hope some fun figures come out of this crossover. What are some things you guys want to see come from it? I could actually appreciate that kind of design, but seriously toned down. Like that they would turn into those spy cam animals and have to adapt to using their abilities like camouflage or ambush tactics. A slowpaced movie that builds up the tension of being in a totally alien world you can't control and you can barely tell friends and fauna apart.

I got him and I think he's pretty damn good. My only real issue is I can't get the feet to tab onto his back for jet mode. Other than that he feels solid. Easily the best Megatron so far. Kinda wish they'd go back and redo the other two.

I do like these, but I've had mixed results with going 3P, especially on legends sized stuff. Given how hard Hasbro is riding the G1 boner right now, I imagine it's only a matter of time before they bust out new versions, and they'll probably be loaded with 5mm ports, which is a major plus.
