>>7969468Hasbro was only willing to do Armada OP as an import. They only produced Cybertron OP and Armada Megatron because they were retools of existing molds. Neither have sold well enough for them to want to venture further into the UT stuff, outside of smaller toys, like Hot Shot.
Their big push for the next two years will be finishing late G1 in Generations, finishing the first six live action movie casts and introducing a lot of things to kids via Cyberverse. That'll be the brand with the larger scope, with characters from Sunbow G1, the UK comics, BW, Animated, UT, the Movies, Prime, etc. Get kids into the idea of a much larger cast than just the core seven that always get made and remade and remade.
Just know that Cyberverse, Studio Series and WFC all wrap up their current plans around the same holiday season.
With two movie franchises going forward, expect Knightformers G1 and BW Movieverse to split the focus of the brand after that. Paramount is searching for a major tentpole brand now that Trek is dead, so they might alternate them every year or so if they're successful. I'd probably do a Transformers movie every two years, Bee2 in 2022, then BW1 2024, then Bee3 2026, etc. (Side note: since BW had been in dev since April, that one might come first...) That would give each story four years between film installments to make them more of an event than just another summer movie brand, but they don't agree with that thinking.
