I doubt it's going to be actually Dungeons & Dragons, since the game is owned by Hasbro and they had their own line of d&d sets for Kreo. It's probably going to be an OSR-style setting with off-brand d&d monsters.

That’s true, but the ninjago ninjas dont really fit a “ninja” class, I’d say kai is a classic fighter, cole as a monk/cleric, jay as a mage/bard, lloyd as a rogue, and I’m not sure about zane

Got my BL orders in today, now the whole team has matching vests (And Yellow gets the proper colored helmet). Also gave Ranger Black a Batman belt to differentiate him a bit more from his teammates.

Built the Radical Racer first, was pretty good even though the exhaust has been absolutely fucked by age (Both the chrome coming off and the plastic being bent). Good thing I only paid like 7 bucks for this one.

I’ve been using the dragsters as a sort of sale on everything at the Lego store. I figure its my chance to buy things outside the 10 cent per piece range CAD that I like. I add the 134 pieces from the dragster to a set and if it puts the amount of pieces in range then I buy it. Bought my first Starshit set in a long time. The dark green A Wing because I wanted a clear windscreen. I only had shaded ones previously. I also like the new design with the bar a lot better.

as much as I hate to admit it, I don't really like any of their brick built feet. They drive the part count up, usually break small pieces off easily, and don't look great. I liked when they used the specialized pieces that had spots to put claw parts on them.

Oh yeah, I kind of trailed off there into a blogpost. I just wanted to remark how soulless the build felt. I was especially disappointed by the specialized fin pieces. Like they couldn’t have made that shape some other way? Other than that it felt like a build from over ten years ago. Starshit is really stagnant. I even got a Marvel set that was more intersting in its design.

Not to mention only two of them are actually supposed to be the same ship in the first place. The Destiny's Shadow doesn't actually have anything to do with it, and the Destiny's Wing was just made from remains of the ship. The movie design doesn't even have the characteristic flying capabilities of the mainline Bounty, it's not meant to be the same thing. (though they use its design for the show anyway later, I guess).

Haven't gotten to the season with the Land Bounty, so I dunno what the deal with it is, but still, it's clearly its own thing, so that's just two proper show Destiny's Bounties. Another 5 years after the last one is hardly overkill.

I liked the Dragon Hunters honestly. A lot of time only one or two members of the villain groups have much of a personality, if any, or it can be pretty repetitive/generic shit shit (like the Vermillion had Raggmunk and Blink but they were pretty much just Kruncha and Nuckal again, maybe a little less stupid, Cryptor is fat shit stock villain). The Hunters felt like they had a solid little cast of weirdos in a weird society, not very developed or anything but interesting nonetheless. Just being weird I think helps them stand out, guys like Daddy no Legs, Muzzle or Arkade feel like they have whole stories behind them and the story doesn't have to dwell on it too much cause just existing in their weird world is enough. I think only the Sky Pirates had as diverse a cast of potentially interesting characters, and they probably got more screentime, but outside of Flintlocke I didn't really care for any of them.
Was also hoping the SOGs would be more interesting, but Killow and Mr. E were pretty nothing characters.
And Ninjago will continue until it stops selling. I doubt it'll stop selling anytime soon. I'd say another five years minimum

Some interesting info I know about the Ninjago summer sets:

-Main villains are black skeletons

- The ninjas are trapped into a board game like Dungeons and Dragons

-Every set can connect to make a big Dungeon

-Sets will contain cards like in DnD

-There are at least three more sets coming

-More western inspired, less asian and less focus on tehnological vehicles but instead on magical ones

-Cole focus

-Creatures like Beholders appear in the sets(not 100% sure about this one)

generally unsorted lego is sold by weight. If you have whole sets you can get more money selling them that way, but it is work to sort them out and complete them. The baseplates are probably the most valuable individual pieces and might be worth trying to sell individually, but I would probably throw it all in a cheap tub and sell it on facebook market based on weight. If you can identify some of the sets that you think are mostly complete you might get a higher price including that info in the description. If you just throw it on there, people will assume you're a mom unloading their kid's old toys and will offer $5.

The top one (LegoBaseplate, Raised 32 x 32 Canyon with Blue and Yellow Stream Pattern, item no. 6024px2) is $13.09 used and $40.00 new on bricklink. The bottom one looks to be item no. 6024px2 which goes for a little less. Depending on country you can get more, but nowhere near $100 even for both if they were new.

I spot a Lego Dino Attack Fire Hammer with only its chassis remaining. Man I love that set so much especially the turret and the type of projectile used before flick fire missiles came to be. But I regret being a kid and just disassembling it to use as parts for other sets that in the end is disassembled as well. I can't even find all the parts to rebuild it.

Anything before the movie is shit. When Lego did the snake island season, I though the theme was breathing it's last. But then Lego pushed it even further. The nindroid wave felt like Lego was beating a dead horse, and I mean in a creepy manner. I can only describe the skypirates that followed with five words.
Absolute dogshit vomit of death. One glance at them and you could tell that Lego had run out of ideas and fucks. They were going to finally call it quits but allegedly they got overwhelmed by calls over it and made the Ninjago Movie instead. It was a fresh take and a great one too. The characters were fun and the Shark Army was all about silly crativity.
After that we got the increasingly dark SOG arc, with it's much better animation. It was followed by a year and a half of filler. Legacy, Ice zombies and Fire snakes. People were a little excited during the leaks, then the waves just passed unnoticably. Like ninjas. At least the current wave looks visually striking.

Spent today prototyping out what this Sentai robot's gonna be made of, how it's going to combine, and how it's gonna stay stable. I got the general shape of 3/5ths of the components, now I just need to figure out the last two. The legs will form Yellow's assault truck (Maybe some kind of missile carrier? IDK), Left arm will be Green's tank, and the Right arm will be Blue's helicopter. Red will have a jet that forms the upper torso and White will probably form the lower torso and the backpack with some sort of MRLS vehicle), but the torso is just a placeholder for now. Copied the foot design from Voltron for stability purposes.

I just want to point out, the remade version of this set is two times more expensive and has twice the number of pieces but it's such a huge improvement over the original. The aesthetics are much better and they remade the mechanism for the wings so that it actually works correctly unlike the original set. It's actually a case of >when the remake is better than the original

An unofficial lego store opened in my city. They have hundreds of used minifigures for sale along with bulk piles of lego. The prices are high, but you get to pick through and choose what parts you want. Overall it feels like an IRL version of bricklink.

Here is my alternative model for Empire Dragon. I call it The Stag Beetle Mech. The build was based around the premise of creating a cockpit enclosure from the large trans orange parts. I cheated a bit in that I got some black legs and a helmet for the bad old dude. I figured since it literally looks like the Cyber Demon from Doom, I couldn’t very well have Kai or Jay piloting it. One thing I accepted during this build is I am not Chubbybots. I really ran out of pieces to get the kind of articulated limbs his MOC has. I still think its quite exceptional for an alternative build and I’m happy how it turned out. I’ll do instructions if you want.

The Earth Driller is also a big improvement with a similar size-up. I never had the original so I don't know how it compares fucntion wise, but the Legacy one is pretty nice and actually looks a lot like the one in the show. It's actually really weird that the show model looks more like it's based on the new one rather than the original, there's details like the cockpit and some gold blades around the engine block that seem to be based on actual parts the original didn't use. Makes me wonder if there wasn't originally a bigger prototype of the set. Either way, the new one is cool.

Dragon is a catch all term for that sort of mythical creature. As much as some idiots try to push it there is no singular absolute definition of what a dragon looks like because there have been so many wildly different renderings of them. If they were real, Dragon would be the order that covers Wyvern and and loads of other types of dragons as species'. So more like saying apes are primates.

It's a different type of building, albeit a really repetitive one. If you can build anything with bricks, Bionicle is all about building guys. I'm much more a Bionicle dude myself simple because I can play "better" with them and I don't particularly care about building houses, spaceships and such. Yeah, I know I'll buy it as soon as I am back home in a couple of days. Even the little speeder is gorgeous, and it's prompting me to do something I've never done: moccing with bricks, simply because I want to build speeders for every minifigure with all the few bricks I have around. Disney doesn't deserve a single penny from me but The Mandalorian was such a good show and this battle pack is so nicely made I'll make a notable exception without thinking twice about it.

Different anon, but I always viewed Bionicle as good for building in its own way. Lego presents its own challenges to turn the pieces into what you want, and Bionicle's parts do the same with its more detailed and specific parts. Even better when someone builds a MOC and uses parts in unconventional manners.

I think the difference is the legacy ones are shaped so they can wear regular minifig head accessories? Makes sense for pragmatic reasons but they look skinnier. Also their armor is reduced to just shoulderpads instead of a full chest plate which made them look bulkier

overall they have a lot more white and less decorative armor which is the main issue. Looking at both directly now I kind of think the new heads look better (the old ones look oversized with facial features stretched too far apart) but they're dragged down by the rest of the body being worse

I think I was thinking of the Day of the Departed skeletons, since that was basically a precursor to Legacy. Those ones lacked the armor as well.

I could not agree with you more. I literally said to my dad that I found maturity to be “the least of all virtues” and that an “adult is a child who has learned to dissimulate”. My issue was that I should call myself a “manchild” instead of a “Lego designer” or even “builder”. Me, being a proud manchild has NOTHING to do with me taking sets and reorganizing almost all their pieces into completely different design. It's a bit of a happenstance thing where hobbies can be linked to physical excellence are percieved as more valuable than creative pursuits because of some pretty obvious positive qualities that gives them. We're currently in a bit of a renaissance esque swingback with that though, things like that Lego building competition reality show is a sign of that.

Honestly I mainly use PAB walls now, there are 2 close ish together and I like limiting myself to one cup to build something fun.

New figs for easter, previously they just mixed the new parts in the BAM station but this time they had the three figs premade in a BAM box on the shelf with the CMFs. 3 unique figs for £5 is still good but I don't like that you can't choose your own accessories.
