How does the High Grade Sachiel compare to the smaller LM one, other than obvious things like articulation, etc?
I want a good iconic Sachiel figure, but the HG one is a bit pricey for me.

all I can say is the old kit was a plastic skeleton with rubber stretched over it, and I think it's started to degrade now 20 years later. Might not be worth it to buy now,

Still need to sand and paint. the issue with mine was fragile knees.

I literally just got one in the mail from japan. The price was about 5,000 yen (~$50) from an auction site, 800 yen for shipping to a local warehouse, and at least 3,500 yen for international shipping. Plus a ton of hoops to jump though making accounts with jauce and paypal to use yahoo japan... it was a pain just to save 20 bucks from amazon. It's like $116 with free shipping.

If that's too rich for ya, you can get the LM model for $35 + $10 for shipping on amazon, just look up "Escaflowne: Guymelef Sachiel 3rd Angel" (don't know why it's labeled that) but i think the HG is much better and worth it the extra cash.The rubber feels fine even though it's 23 years old. Not sticky and not ripping easy. Like a latex glove you put over the plastic skeleton. The LM sachiel is just a hollow plastic shell with limited arm and leg moment. And you need to paint all the white parts.

This looks surprisingly good. Wonder why they didn't bother to punch out the eyes like they did with the shoulder pads, it would have made the color separation perfect.

Thanks for the advice. The knees seem to be holding fine, i'll try not to bust them.

Overall the condition is really good and i'm really happy with it. Fitting the skeleton inside took a lot of stretching and pulling and the rubber skin held up fine. No tears or cracking.

Only downsides, elbows to pivot too much, doesn't bend at the ankles. and no second mask so you can't make him look like his second form. But that's all minor.

This looks awesome next to the Evas. It really feels so massive and imposing. Makes Zeruel look like a midget.

It is nice and all but both the LM and HG are plane white. You need black paint for the wings and panel details to make them look really good. If you're gonna put that much time in it, you might as well get the go for the HG with more detail and pose-ability.

On "Hobby link japan" the LM is 9$ and the HG is 20$ so not much of a difference. There was a second HG that's rare and can go for 70$ when you can find it. But it just has an extra head with an open mouth. Not really worth it.

But they are all awesome. Massive wings and a real eye catcher. Just don't accept one as a gift. (picture unrelated)
