Its been dead for a while now anon, the sales were that bad that they cancelled the Super Battle Droid and 501st Clone on a walker that was meant to be the next wave of figures.

You will never see it again outside of maybe bootlegs and there are only traces left from the system like friction enhancers, loose balljoints and the shoulder- and kneepad parts.
Hell, even the beast feet have been discontinued and now they're using brickbuilt feet for stuff like dragons.

CCBS is so fucking dead they aren't even using the parts in mainline sets anymore. That's why they made those new smaller ball joints. CCBS and technic dont fit the brick based dogma, and therefore are seen as expendable despite being half of why the company survived their bumpy transition into the 21st century. They really need to edge in a way to bring back BIONICLE and Buildable Figures this Winter of 2021 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Of course, we will have a System set featuring the three non-flashback sagas, but we want more. On that note, Star Wars killed Buildable Figures, but the original ones who brought LEGO into fame must bring it back.

Just accept bionicle is dead. Everytime lego trys to bring it back the community complains about ccbs, inika, brickbuilt, and even hordika isn't real bionicle. The "real" bionicle was 9 Points of articulation, broke easily, and couldn't be posed. the other half of real bionicle (nui jaga, tarakava, manas, all rahi) couldn't be posed.

Theres like ten alternatives that are better than bionicle in every concievable way. bionicle wasn't that great. Most of the limbs had huges gaps, no waist articulation, and had really bad scale. The toa mata don't fit in with any inika build.

Not to be that guy, but I always liked Bionicle more for the art direction and comics than the toys. I think a lot of people have come to feel that way since the line's cancellation, as there are few series that evoke the same aesthetic as Bionicle

Look at brutaka. The legs and arms look like they are from completely different figures. The legs look terrible, because they are overengineered and the arms look under engineered. The chest has no articulation and also looks like a bunch of unrelated pieces slapped together. The feet and hands are just wrong in so many ways.

this is one of the better g1 sets yet every piece of the body has massive gaps in it. It doesn't even look consistent. It looks like 10 different creatures slapped together and painted blue and gold

If the only thing that makes bionicle worth as much as a thread about sh figuarts is the art, Then it shouldn't be on toy. It should be on art.

The figures just aren't that good. Bionicles were ok, when theyre only competion was toy biz marvel legends. When they returned in 2015 it was clear they were outclassed by other figure-lines. Anyone who genuinely liked bionicle (and not just the lore) has moved on to other toys. Bionicle is dead, and NEVER coming back. That lego ideas set might get released, sell horribly, and then be forgotten about.

The problem is these toys are outside of Lego, you nips. Not that it would matter anyways, since Lego themselves have drastically dropped in quality. That, and the appeal of Bionicle s the fantasy/sci-fi mix, giving robots tribal aesthetics and primitive weapons. The model kit motif has nothing to do with it.
