From what I heard, this version was their latest attempt at getting into the anglosphere. China, Latin America, and a decent chunk of Europe already like Saint Seiya but until it's not big in Burgerland it seems it's all a failure to them.
I can't honestly imagine a kid wanting ANY black saints or most of the bronze saints. The designs of the former are terrible and the latter have been handled terribly. Forget about Shun being a girl, she is honestly one of the highlights of the series so far; every moment that made Shiryu an appealing character has been removed or stripped down to a single out of context scene, Hyoga hasn't done jackshit in 11 episodes, and Ikki wasn't as imposing as he usually is because he is not allowed to have any brutality to his fights.
The silver saints would make okay toys but they were handled just as poorly.
I kind of just want it to make it in the US because there's nobody discussing it here.
