>>7982649DUDE, Hell yeah. I saw these on the shelf at a Toys R Us one time as a youngin' and begged for a set. Never saw the show, never gave a fuck.
They were really cool with the transforming they could do, mashing together random pieces of monsters and robots from different kits with those long rubber bendy parts inbetween used as necks or whatever. Some of the aliens/monsters were designed really well and looked pretty edgy next to most other minis I had.
Fond memories of making the figures and creatures fight massive battles with the similarly scaled Star Wars sets and a cheapo but badass customizable moon base with pseudo stormtroopers from the local department store. Eventually ended up owning the pretty big green planet set with the freaky tentacles as well as the one with the small red planet/ship/whatever on the bottom right.
Brother had a blue transforming robo-planet that I believe also came with a similarly styled car type of thing. May have had another set too, but I'm not exactly sure which pieces came from which sets so I may be mistaken.
Thanks for a pleasant trip down memory lane, anon. I have half a mind to rip apart mom's basement and turn this into an extended vacation.
