I had Super Van City and a bunch of the Star Wars sets, such as Action Fleets, which were really kickass. I kinda want them to revive Action Fleet, but they'll fuck it up by making them sequel based.

They did some mini vehicles in the 80s that looked good, long before buying Galoob. The Galoob era GI Joe MM though were all half-assed repaints of existing molds with nothing new and were pretty shit.

My mom gave away my Micro Machines collection when I was a kid and I'm still bent. You can buy replacements but you can never buy the feel of collecting and trading with friends. Thanks for reading my blogpost.

I still want this but Micro Machines is one of those toylines that suffer from lack of a cartoon series to support it and as a result it never became something a lot of people collect and thus getting the originals in a good condition is a royal pain in the ass

And part of me dreads that even if I do pay through the nose for one, it just wouldn't be able to live up to my expectations after having wanted it for so many years as a kid.

I just realized the one Star Wars thing I loved from Micro Machines was the Episode 1 podracers. Would be cool to see these return, but Disney doesn't want to touch anything from the prequels except for Episode 3.

I just found a bunch of the original Galoob Star wars playsets at my parents house and remembered how many different types of micro machines there were and how it was a shame I couldn't buy any new ones. I loved the military and the Star Wars sets but I had a bunch of the cars too.

This thread reminds me, I have the Orion J-22 submarine in a good and complete shape, but as a kid I fixed the peeling stickers with tape which has yellowed and looks even more unsightly. I wonder if I could safely remove them and just fix the decals with a bit of wood glue instead.

The prequels were the most profitable period Star Wars ever had. They moved toys, merch, video games, etc without fail. Something Disney has been completely unable to do.

The outside of the van is cool but the inside looks naked and lame as fuck. If you're going to use color plastic instead of stickers to try and simulate asphalt (?) Then at least fucking sculpt some road details in there. The fact that there's no actual road for any cars and missing major details like, you know, water under the fucking bridge makes the entire thing look like a cheap knockoff instead of a modern update to a classic toy. The outside looks brand new yet the inside seems a step down, which isn't what you want when the whole appeal is supposed to be the micro part.

Fans hated the prequel MOVIES, but actually enjoyed the setting beleive it or not. Pod racers were some what loved because of the video games, especially that awesome arcade one.

Looks super neat overall and for the first time in a while I kind of feel like getting into some whole new thing and going down that rabbit hole. However I'm afraid that here in Yurop this stuff is gonna cost ridiculously much. I wouldn't be surprised if the 5-packs shown in the video would be 10-12€ per pack.
