One of the links in the last thread had converted price of 250 loonies,plus shipping. Gonna get you to at least three hundo at the cheapest.

But then, on top of that, you have to get a base Goku, battle damaged of course, and at least a Krillin if not a yajirobe and Gohan too to complete the set, a Vegeta base form...

If you're autistic enough, this figure is gonna run you about $1000 all things included.

This place has fairly cheap shipping that's even cheaper than Amiami and they lie about the prices which gets it past Canada Post everytime for me. If I was ordering from anywhere, it'd be there. Guessing it would come out to 2000-3000 shipping. I can't bring myself to do that yet.

In Z filler he was taller than SS Goku and in DB he was around a head shorter than Tien. Although Tien is pretty short, his height would still make sense. Mr Satan's height is the worst of the normal sized guys besides OG Piccolo.

I think the original Goku went down in price a lot because he has so many releases and options now. I think some hardcore collectors would still pick it up but I don't think they'd pay 100+ like they would've some years ago
Vegetto still has pretty good value. I think you could probably be able to sell him for 60-70$.

Those figs were mostly honestly pretty decent. Very much liked them. Articulation wasn't always the best bust design was great. The Gohan that came in the double pack with Super Buu was sick and actually good articulation too. The Vegito I had with Gohan Buu though was so fucking stiff in the leg joint and the joint plastic was so soft it broke Christmas day when I got it just from turning it.

To be fair he's just another Goku body with a headswap, probably just Vegeta forearms with the blue plastic done in skin tone color this time, and at most mold changes for the boots if they're not attached to the legs. Only new parts here would be the hair and face sculpts. So doing a Vegetto is just all free money for them since like 95% of the character is mold re use.

In fairness, creating molds in the toy industry is pretty expensive, so if companies can save costs on that, it definitely makes production much cheaper. That's not to say it's then "free" to produce. As you say there's still a lot of other production costs involved.

Molds are expensive as fuck. They also need to be retooled after use or the whole thing turns to shit. Yeah, the other stuff costs money too, but companies in the past have used the excuse "lol molds 2 expensive can't do this" to not do shit. Also it's a lot more likely to expect a character to be made on the cheap when it's a shoe in to sell, when all of the parts for them exist other than a head and maybe boots.

Creating mold is expensive, but even just tracking down multiple molds for 1 figure can be to expensive. Hasbro has extensively talked about how sometimes it can be cheaper to make a new figure than track down a mold.
