About the Xalax, I remember seeing couple of those as a kid and playing with them. I wasn't necessarily thrilled about them, but I must've stared at the catalog pages of Xalax racers for hours. I still believe Xalax have a very charming Y2K dollar-store trash-scifi fuck-color-coherency feel to them.
But as a kid I din't have any, I was more into the pullback Drome Racers. Guess if I have all of those nowadays also. I have the electrick track set, as well.
