I've been asking this in the Marvel general and the Customs general and I got nothing. What would be a good base for this guy?

Most of my figure knowledge is weebshit so I don't know how well the proportions would gel with comic stuff, but figma Okabe Rintarou has a labcoat. Beyond that, you might have better luck tracking down an aftermarket soft-goods labcoat to put on over whatever civilian body you're using. Etsy, eBay, and Aliexpress all have thriving markets for that kind of thing.

How can I figure out at what depth horns should go on a helmet?
I'm customizing pic related into Marvel UK Ferak but right now I'm kind of confused as to what should follow after I finish working on the face. Do I continue with the helmet or start adding the horns?
I kind of suspect carving the slot into which I'll glue the horns into will help me pick up on the thickness and size of the helmet.

it's a paint mess but the rough nature makes it easy to notice.
posablablity is semi limited wher if you want dynamic poses you are going to warp or spilt the plastic overlays
no QC that I know of.

Could have used a few more joints (Bicep swivel). Mediocre articulation. No reported QC issues. Feels decently solid.

My camera is crappy so I can't make a good pic but is there a good way to completely remove paint transfer from plastic? I've removed the main stains with some alcohol and water but there are still faint traces left that I can't seem to get rid off. While they're not very obvious and don't bother me too much I'd like to remove them if possible. The plastic surface is matte, not gloss, maybe that's why the paint got absorbed into it so easily. I'm hesitant about rubbing it with too much force because I don't want to polish the surface and make those spots glossy which would stand even more.

If you bought him new and have the UPC, you can contact McFarlane corps and they may send you a new one.
I had the same thing happen with a deluxe Kaneda that had 2 left feet, and they just asked for the details, I shipped him back and got a brand new set.
Otherwise you're going to want to find a cheap hand swap.

I was thinking of cutting off his thumb and reattatching it next to the pinkie, wich would become the new index finger. It'd be crude but it should work.

I want to collect something but I don't have a whole lot of space. Thinking of either some kind of card because I can keep them in binders, or virtual pets because they're relatively small and I can keep them in small cases in a drawer and just display the ones I want to at the time.

Any advice or other ideas?

There was this 1 at Tom Thumb that was orange and a slightly greenish blue but it was almost exactly the automag design. I think there was 2 other guns in the line with the same colors. 1 of them may have been based on Robocop's gun.

This would have been out in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Absolutely not. They are very limited, and working around those limitations is a pointless skill set of it's own that takes time better spent learning 3d modeling so you can print shit with other methods.

You mean the thin bar, or the weird joint they have, or the general lack of articulation? Minus the first bit, thats just how the VF-1 is designed. The thin bar is just a concession of the transformation since the actual VF-1 transformation is a bit convoluted.

Pretty much every modern vf-1 toy uses that transformation scheme, if solidarity is your main concern then maybe go for a hi metal R figure.

They are relatively small and don’t have perfect transformation, but the trade off is better stability because of the decreased moving parts.

It wont work without modification. Which might be a selling point if you wanted to haphazardly attach it to chip like they did to figures in the film.

I owned both toys as a kid, and had the same idea, but that handle at the bottom is not a good fit for chip's hands.

The McFarlane figure is actually his second costume iteration. The only one who's doing the third costume so far is Amazing Yamaguchi. McF, BoA are the second, while Figma is the first.
