it irritates me that they do a series and then the next one it's completly different and unrelated. I was so excited with the hoplites/amazonians that I was expecting more "historical" (daydreaming about Roman legionnaires) stuff but they subverted my expectations and now I'm bitter. Not their fault it's just that I hate it happened that way.

I am extremely disappointed with Hasbro. Year after year they showcase amazing 6-inch releases with new tech (removeable faceplates this year) but they shit on 1/18 year after year.

I'm hoping they use the new movie to relaunch the 1:18th stuff. The non-reveal of the rumored Jazzware line and denial they're even doing Joe figures gave me a bit of hope that it could still be a thing.

Use the 6" line to get the name back on the toy shelves and get collectors talking about it again. Use the movie to get stores to want more Joe product and relaunch the smaller scale figures along side the more "collector friendly" larger scale figures. Combine that with their current relationship with Netflix to follow the film up with some sort of animated series using new 6" designs that get updated again into the smaller scale while the collector line moves to more "classic" costumes. And then ride that wave of buzz and cartoons and movies and toys into a Haslab U.S.S. Flagg in 2021.

I also failed to notice that there's two different action figure price tags for Joes above, one says "Titan Figure" and the other says "Ninja Figure," and both are priced at $12.99 Canadian, which is roughly around $10 American. However I can see them going the 50th route and releasing better articulated figures in multipacks to go along with the movie. When Hasbro makes toys, especially based on a film, they throw out a wide net to cover their bases. I don't see them sticking with just one or two scales/lines for Joes, they'll most likely shotgun the toy shelves with a variety of kids junk and colorful crap to go along side the more collector orientated detailed/articulated figures.

Nah, they already tried it during the Retalation line and one of the guys from Hasbro responded at that time, saying it was a mistake and that clearly G.I. Joe was a high articulated toyline. The did with vehicle drivers mainly, and also took some articulation off of some the early figures.

They later upped them to occasionally 7POA so characters could have swivel wrists when needed. Joe they tried it selectively with vehicle drivers and stated that it was a failure, so they phased those out when they did 50th. When they were transitioning to 50th they made some statements about it.

Now if that anon said, we were getting Galaxy of Adventure style figures I'd believe him. But not 5POA. The reason they did Galaxy of Adventure as a cartoony articulated line is, because they admitted that 5POA was a mistake for Star Wars. I'd buy into them doing something like those for War on Cobra.

And? Hasbro abandoned 5POA for Star Wars and is now doing Galaxy of Adventure and Mission Fleet instead. They admitted when they did Galaxy of Adventure that 5POA was a mistake for Star Wars and that maybe kids do like articulation.

And? Those golden figures weren't a main line, they were some cheap thing to shovel out aimed at collectors who didn't want them. Along side them they still had TVC, Jabba's Palace, and the Skiff all at retail. For kids they opted to just make Galaxy of Adventures.

It's a decent. It has three walls, but the main wall is modular, so you can snap on the two other pieces a couple different ways, or if you have a second set use those extra two wall pieces. It's nice for what it is, and looks great. I don't care for the Han that comes with it though, but that's my only complaint. We're supposed to get a Carbon freezing chamber playset also.

Truly a talented man with a good feel for both franchises.
POC is was the renaissance period for modern Joes and Shadow Tracker was one of the crown jewels of that line.
Shock Trooper is still one of the best 1:18 modern armybuilders out there.

Finally got my mandalorian and cara dune. These figs are amazing. Hasbro stepped up. The scale and hip joint could use modernization but they have improved.

They added more clearing space for the knee joint, allowing the mandalorian to acheive a deeper kneel. The rifle also attaches to a peg at mando's back and bandolier. Over all easier to pose and less stiff than the TVC young solo.

Ive finished the red light building (which is the star of the night time shots). Posted it in the old thread but here it is again. Will take more scenes in the future.

On a side note I just realized my cam settings are set ot 6megapixels instead of 24...thats why images are grainy. I need to reshoot some older shot-concepts at 24megapixels.

old r2's like pic related have no ankles or wheels if that's what your looking for. also light piping in the main eye. only real issues are nasty seams on the dome, and the peg on the back of the middle leg (if that bothers you)

Local importer got them from their source. It costs around $30 converted in my country. No big retailer carries it here so we have specialty hobby shops that import it - downside is the price. They most likely buy it for retail in the states, ship it then add on a margin, thus they are expensive. I spent $50-60 for both mando and cara.

More listings were found online for likely 1:18 G.I Joe figures. It seems likely they're Snake Eyes movie figures that are going to be revealed at a later date. Perhaps they're waiting until after the first official trailer drops?

Right now there's only 3 figures listed, so my assumption is, that those 3 figures will be revealed at whatever event Hasbro has going on, sort of like how only a handful of the 6-inch figures were listed in store computers, because those were the figures that Hasbro was choosing to reveal at that time.

Star Wars was 5POA to begin with, and then Hasbro came out and said it was a mistake for the line. It's retarded to say that, because Star Wars did something, then G.I. Joe must do that same thing that Star Wars tried and failed at. Star Wars abandoned 5POA and went on to Galaxy of Adventures and Mission Fleet for the kids line. Furthermore people from Hasbro have said during the time that G.I. Joe was on hiatus between 50th and now, that Joes are high articulated figures and always have been and will be; that they learned that when they tried to do low articulation vehicle drives and remove some articulation on basic figures during the Retaliation line, sales slumped. It was a test and it failed. There's no indication that they're going to do a mainline series of 5POA figures.

SOME of them have shipped, but only a select few figures from a select few shops. They problem is that some of the figures had to get re-run and most shops decided to hold onto everything and ship em all at once instead of breaking up orders.

I order a few from BFS myself, and haven't heard anything from them at all. But the figures are still in production, it's just gonna take much longer then expected.

BBTS already has at least the nude figure in stock as it's already in my pile of loot. Hopefully the rest are coming sooner rather then later, but I wouldn't trust BBTS's estimates for pre-orders.
