Nope, looks like a typical Sci-fi armor. The upper body is probably stretched up.
It looks like a joint system of some sort to allow more chest movement.
But the those responsible for posing probably didn't give a shit about it looking not good. Or they broke it, who knows.
Just look at the previous photos from jap conventions.

You didn't even try to look up the pics in the Internet. Btw, considering it is a redesign, big thighs aren't a big surprise, as these parts of the body are mostly responsible for movement and eventually have more synthetic muscle or something to improve stability and speed of the armor user.
And you know, now it more and more looks like a bait thread by the infamous frantic fan of McFarlane's shitty Halo figures.

I have no doubt it won't be as posable, but aesthetically it beats the shit out of 1000toys.

Also the 1000toys could have problems all it's own thanks to the metal inner frame.

They're based on different designs, so that point is moot. I do like the look of the Jazwares but I've been burned on "budget" collectibles so many times I'm wary. Also I don't think the 1000toys looks bad at all.
