>>8014095>I enjoy the cartoon, but you can't tell me it's not goofy. It's consistently better than the comics. The comics don't really get good until the Joes get to Springfield, which is like 15 issues in. The first two issues are also alright, but everything after that becomes a chore to read until their in Springfield. And then the book keeps getting bogged down with Snake Eyes shit, he even gets tied into the origin story for the Baroness, which is so dumb. He's already part of Cobra Commander's story and Storm Shadow's, and then Zartan, then Baroness, then Fire Fly. And they also make everyone a ninja, including Fire Fly. Flint was even going to be a ninja. but the toys were cancelled before that could happen.
The cartoons are just consistently better all the way through the Sunbow run. About the only negative thing I can say about it is the animated movie trying to answer questions that nobody asked for answers to, such as where does Cobra get it's funding from?
>What do you like about Joe if you don't mind my asking? I like all the different characters. My favorite characters though are all bigger in the cartoons than the comics, such as Shipwreck, Sgt. Slaughter, Duke, Leatherneck, Gung-Ho, even Mainframe has an episode of the cartoon. Wet-Suit's also more fleshed out and enters a martial arts tournament which then Sgt. Slaughter ends up taking his place. And even the Cobras are better in the show. You know I've actually written some fan scripts for comics based off of the sunbow universe. It always bothered me that IDW with all their attempts at launching a new series never attempted to try an on-going comic that was in that universe. I think I enjoy the wackier ideas.
