Last Evolution Kizuna Edition

A new wave of American "Digimon Original Digivice 20th Anniversary" will be released on March 15, 2020.

New colors include:
-Translucent Green
-Translucent Yellow
-Translucent Blue
-Translucent Purple

Withthewill.net claims these new sets will contain the Coronamon and Lunamon eggs (this is not 100% confirmed, and it is unknown which set of devices will contain which eggs if it is true). No news on any potential extra additions at this time. May just be color variants of the original release.

Im enjoying him. first digimon item in my current collection and it feels good and nostalgic.

I've got the Digi-Warriors Omegamon and he's cool looking, if limited in poseability. MegaloGrowmon, Imperialdramon, and Paildramon all have slightly better poseability. I'm waiting on Galgomon and Dukemon to come in the mail. It'd be nice to find a complete Beelzebumon for a low price someday.

He seems fantastic to me. Great poseability and the parts seem to stick together nicely. He's very lightweight though so he feels cheap because of it.

As for your question, do you mean Model Kits? Because for Omnimon, there have been two. Although both are the same.

The original Digimon Model Kit Line was called Reboot. But we only got a release of Omnimon, and another release of Omnimon (clear plastic version). There may be more variants, but I'm not aware of them.

Pic related is what else was supposed to come in the line before it was cancelled.

The new Amplified Model Kit line so far only has two new kits. Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon. The Omnimon is a retooling of the Reboot one.

Wargreymon had a few, id say his shield was the most stickers. he was fun to build, im still relatively new with modelkits (this was my 6th but all my other ones were suuuper simple ones.)

Yeah they come with stickers for certain parts. Wargreymon is special because a lot of people consider him pretty much "complete" right out of the box. Most builds require extensive painting and panel lining to look like the promo shots.

Galgomon came yesterday and I adore this chubby bundle of bullets. I feel he could've benefited from some neck articulation though, since his guns point outward at an angle on each hand and he can only stare forward.

I also ordered some enamel pins from Mamobot (disregard the TeeFury backer) and they're fantastic. I hope to order more soon.

Not that guy, but to be fair, they almost always follow the exact same order when releasing popular characters for a line, and most of the time they don't even get to the bottom rung of that popularity list. The Digivolving Spirits line is really the first time they've given any real effort to diversifying the lineup, so getting as far as it did should at least send some kind of message.

And honestly, that assertion that it's that anon's fault for not not keeping the line afloat is disingenuous bullshit and you know it.

Is Amplified WarGreymon supposed to be able to stand up? Mine's feet are so light that it just does splits if you try to stand it up. Plus the torso articulation is really strange: you can't really use the torso articulation in any way, since it's either pushed all the way in and so that it can't move, or if you try to pull out the joints enough to move them, the torso falls apart.

What's with people and being so uninformed that they think that any gold plastic can suffer from that?
The problem is not the color, but the mix of plastics used. There's toys that have that problem and don't even use gold plastic, like the brown on Transmetal Megatron. If the plastic isn't swirly like in this case, then GPS doesn't happen.

Because everybody already has those figures, why would they buy them again with minimal difference? Would be smarter to do one popular one that doesn't get as much merch, say Kabuterimon and pair him with a badguy who doesn't have much, like Kuwagamon.

Bandai also cancels lines that do well because they don't do marvel numbers.

I think this kit was released in 2000. Here's the test fitting before I started the mods. It's sitting around incomplete right now. After a lot of trial and error I realized I'm never gonna get nice metallics without an airbrush.

It is pretty based in that respect, but it always kind of bothered me how wildly iridescent it is compared to the original animation model. I know it's petty, and some compromises had to be made to get it to light up effectively, but it just bugs me.

That's correct, the solid color ones have either Anime Agumon (Solid Brown and Solid Blue) or Anime Gabumon (Solid Grey and Solid Yellow), to get Lunamon you'll want to buy Translucent Yellow or Translucent Purple. These wave 2s are already out in Australia so I bought a T. Purple and was able to unlock Lunamon on it.

If I were to make a hypothetical Etemon, I'd use some of those fully articulated 3rd party gundam hands. Monkeysuit's gloves go over that, then sculpt the nail over the fabric with some apoxie sculpt.

Cloth bodysuit over a modded figure is actually something I've had in mind for a while. Wanna turn a bootleg 1/6 Synthetic Human into Madder Red. My sculpting skills isn't high enough level yet though.

Solid colors have either Anime Agumon or Anime Gabumon. Clears have Coronamon or Lunamon. Other than that it's the same roster. Connecting a Clear to a Solid unlocks Dorumon on both both devices, if you care about him. Other than that, pick whichever one you want.

You know what? This is getting hopeless. They give us tri., but only gave us Digivolving Spirits and P-Bandai exclusive Digivice replicas. And they rebooted Adventure and the only toy we get out of it is also P-Bandai exclusive, and that's not just because it's P-Bandai's 10th anniversary. We all have to cry out to stop Adventure for good and expand the Digimon brand with more original anime and new, cooler toys, and continue the Spirits line with that Dukemon we kept asking for.

Alright guys...with the reboot of the original adventure series, a new flow of revenue SHOULD fill up those greedy corporate pockets. As such, think they'll release the shown Biyomon/Garudamon if they revive the line? I mean, Biyomon/Gaurdamon has been shown to be completed, although the mold probably never got made since they didn't release it....

yeah, the only part that would need translating is the digimon names which are in japanese.
The rest is either in english or with self explanatory images. (minor nitpick is a case of engrish with 'Recode', which probably should have said Record since it's your win/battle records). Also a readable manual would be nice but there are enough sources on the internet that explain it all.

might be trying to get my hands on a ver.20th next if i can avoid paying absurd prices. didn't know you take care of 2 at the same them on them.

I'm hoping they'll re-issue at least the Chosen Children's partners for the new anime so they can catch up again and crank out the last three before deciding whether to kill it or keep going.
I'd love an Impmon/Beelzemon and Guilmon/Dukemon, but I can live without them.

I got lucky a few years ago and snagged a complete Patamon/Angemon that's in damn good condition, because wanted one since forever and thought it would be cool as hell to have with the Patamon/HolyAngemon.
Now I'm looking for a Kabuterimon, Greymon, and Garurumon while I wait for good deals on the new ones I lack.

It's a gimmick, but it's one I can't get enough of when it's done decently.

Haha, yeah. Made them when I was a teen so they're pretty wonky. MetalGreymon's hair is just a piece of paper, it can be rotated inside the helmet when transforming into Greymon so there's no need to remove it. And I discovered years later that the Omegamon figure actually includes a cape in the original japanese release so it covers all the junk hanging on his back.

MetalGreymon, WereGarurumon and Garudamon are all KOs missing paint apps, so I had to paint several things myself. Had to do the same with HolyAngemon's black belts on his arm (pic related), but that was actually Bandai of America fault cheaping out a lot with that figure, there's plenty of other unpainted details.

That's one of the Japan-only Armor figures. The only one, now that I think of it. Guess they figured Pegasmon wasn't cool enough to get his own figure in North America.

He already is. The brownish gold ball joint cups on the hip armor parts are cracked on mine. Many shiny plastics back then had the problem of being unable to withstand any stress because the mix used was crap, my Andromon's butt is cracked too because the internal piece that holds the legs stressed it.

I'm not saying it's better than the american version but it's not bad at all once you take into account they use the same base veemon figure for flamedramon, raidramon, and and mangamon and that they went for show accuracy in the gimmick since the digimentals just make up armor pieces that go on the same base figure for each mon.

While true, it doesn't really change that having to accommodate so many armors really hurt the overall designs. Or at least it shows that Magnamon wasn't really designed with figures in mind the way Fladramon and Lighdramon were.

So how are the other Japanese armor digivolving figures of Hawkmon and Armadillomon? Are they good or awful due to the lower prices they fetch compared to Patamon and Veemon?

Honestly, they're probably better than the V-mon sets, simply because they showcase some amazing engineering and show accuracy. The Shurimon, Digmon and Submarimon sets, anyway. Halsemon's kind of awkward, but decent enough.
