I think this could be the perfect Superman but paying 80 bucks for something that's still so off isn't worth it. Or are there any other Supes in that scale with a similar body? The new McFarlane stuff just saddens me with how pathetic the body looks.

VERY LIKELY. They've already revealed a recolour of their Hush Batman and that isn't even out yet. They also announced a recolour of Spider-Man right after the first one came out. It will be annoying having to wait a year or so for it, but I'm not letting Medicom scam me with their beta version

Any tips on how to loosen a very tight Mafex Venom shoulder? Moving his arm up and down or utilizing the butterfly joing at the shoulder is very tight and it squeaks. From what I’ve heard everyone just puts a drop of dish soap in the joint to act as lubricant.

3. Amiami, Hobbysearch or HLJ, mostly for their customer support in case the QC bug strikes.
4. Depends on what you like, but some my favs are ESB/ROTJ Boba Fett and JL Batman.
5. Yes and no. Is it the best representation of a McFarlane/Bagley Spider-Man? Yes. But is it $90-$100 good? No, and you'll feel like you've overpaid even at retail.

This is exactly why I'm really excited for this line. I absolutely love that they're doing comic figures. I have Cyclops, Hush Batman (Blue), DKR Batman (Black), and Catwoman on preorder. I also ordered Jordan since I'm hoping they continue that line. I'm very happy with the comic figures I got from them so I'm ecstatic that they're making more and hoping that Wondy is next.

Yes kind of like that. Although Venom is a bit smaller but he's different enough from AY Venom that I still felt justified still getting him. I actually have my Mafex posed alongside my MLs and AYs. I also threw in some SHF IM armors and Figma Cap (got him since he looks nothing like the actor so I figured it was ok). They actually look ok together.

1000toys made a good Hellboy if you're interested in that. I don't think anyone other than McFarlane is ever going to make Spawn though since that guy's pretty protective when it comes to the rights. Would be cool though.

The Mafex stands are pretty great I think. You'll have to ask someone else though since most of my figures are posed without them. I very rarely use stands on mine since I like them all on the ground and stuff.

Yeah, unfortunately with creator's rights focused companies like Image and Dark Horse, the cynic in me speculates that we won't be able to see unified shared universes for Image and Dark Horse respectively until a good chunk of their creators either sell the rights to their respective publishers or just outright die. And I don't wish death on any of them for something as retarded as comic book publishers not having a shared universe. I'm just saying that it is kind of a bummer that we don't have more major capeshit shared universes that are the equals to the big two. The optimist in me thinks that that'll probably change bit by bit within the coming years thanks to new film releases for Bloodshot and Spawn, for example.

You might also want to look at Storm Collectibles anon. They're making 4 Injustice figures and I've heard they're pretty good so those will be my first SCs. I think there's a good chance of them making more X-Men but I'm not sure if they'll make more JL figures. I hope their DC ones sell so they do expand to other characters as well. I'd love it if they made the Teen Titans but a premium company never really makes characters other than the A-list ones so I doubt that will happen. It sucks but we really need a better budget line company similar to Hasbro if we're ever going to get more DC characters.

It looks like the black version is missing a piece of plastic. on the lower knee.

Look at this pic. The black is in the same pose as before, just seen from a different angle there's still a gap. The blue's leg is definitely bent more but no big gap.

nah, on the black one it looks like they didn't move the top part of the knee joint. The whole joint is still flush with the thigh and the whole movement comes from the lower knee joint (which might even be popped out thanks to that). The blue one has the whole knee portion bent, since there they actually used the joint as intended

Medicom usually doesn't do exact dates until a few days before the release. They announce the dates on their Twitter and http://www.medicomtoy.tv/blog/. For the most part, it seems like they come out towards the end of the month.

Closer to the release date. I don't think Medicom even officially announces delays, usually I just get an email from Amiami saying it's delayed.

He's pictured with them but they aren't shown in the accessories photo, oddly enough. If I'm remembering correctly, the accessories photo for Spider-Man only showed some webs and the magnetic hands/feet so maybe both versions come with the batarang hands.
