Mr. Silvia has come out and stated that he's wanting to do a side project to the Beasts of the Mesozoic line...dragons!

This vision of what I have in mind can be best illustrated by this Dragons vs. Raptors piece I created a while back. Dragons and dinosaurs all living in the same world... our world.

"Grounded in natural history" and dragons don't go all that great. I personally find that part of the appeal of dragons are the fantastical designs, crazy horns, long armed dragons that stand upright, etc. From the sketches they look pretty cool, that last one especially. Either way I look forward to seeing what he comes up with.

Excellent. I hope we get more like the top lizard dragon with bat-like wings; those always looks the best, and I’m tired of wyverns just like >>8023702. I’ve wanted to design dragons based on dinosaurs myself, so I love where this is going as a mix of realism and fantasy.

Personally I’d be down for dragons that look like they could have stemmed from real reptiles like archosaurimorphs and squamates. Modeling dragon skull morphology, feet/hands, and non-wing limb-posture using the hindsight of the fossil record to make something comparatively believable could yield some fun designs.

I understand everyone is excited for a generic dragon design, but I personally find them a tad boring. This might be selfish, but I'd love some weirdo ass abomination, rather than generic flying fire breathing lizard.

This confirms that 3 3/4 is the best scale. Dragons, Jurassic Park Dinosaurs, Star Wars, spaceships, vehicles, GI Joes, Marauders, BFS blanks, Roman, Fantasy figures, furries from Animal Kingdom, etc.

Plans are in place now to begin with the prototype as soon as possible. The action figure will be based on the Arctic Dragon model kit pictured here. The base will be omitted for the action figure and accessories, if any, are not yet confirmed. I'll be sure to keep everyone informed on the process as it develops.

>Not necessarily. I may release the Dragon figures one at a time as compared to doing it by series and will only crowdfund if absolutely necessary. At the very least there will probably be a pre-order window to determine the production run.
