I'll give it to Toriyama that he was either pretty clever or pretty lucky that a lot of stuff was vague enough or lined up right to be changed without huge issues. But then you have things like Vegeta seeing Beerus literally use his father as a footstool and conveniently forgetting that ultra-powerful Gods of Destruction that were millions of times stronger than any of the villains throughout Z existed

I always prefered the Nordic aryan Type of ascension rather than going back to monkey roots but that’s just me.

SS blue replacing SS4 was one of my favorite changes with super seeing as how lightning blue is the actual aura/color of godly/demonic energy IRL so it makes more sense.

Trying to make sense of the power level fuckery is stupid, no matter who we're talking about in DBS. The fact that 17, Krillin, Roshi, and Tien can hang with the SSGs/SSBs is retarded, after one of the main points of contention of DBZ was that these guys fell out of the power battle years and years ago and their power was only a sliver against the Saiyans and the Villains.

Its even more retarded if you want to bring the DBS manga in, where SS2 Future Trunks is stronger than and overpowers SS3 Goku, and Roshi can apparently sorta use Ultra Instinct.

All of Dragon Ball is pretty much defined by a linear ladder of progression, though. That's pretty much its thing.

Super just breaks its own rule of power progression and canon that was laid out for decades, just so DBS could have an exciting five minutes here or there just comes off as dumb. Its one of the major reasons people that don't like Super, don't like it.

The only real poor choice they've made and continue to make is not reissuing highly demanded characters that people are still willing to pay hundreds for like Androids, Original Broly, SSJ3 Goku, Krillin, etc
But even that could technically be a good choice since they could be waiting until the line starts underperforming before easily boosting it up again with those characters

Demoniacal Fit is really the only 3P group making or selling any. There's also another 3P, but all they've done so far is a bootleg Android 17 and DBS Ranger 17 set.

Most everything else from other 3Ps (and even from those two) are just CGI mockups that never actually get physically made.

They're diversifying. If they release all the highly demanded Z characters at once they'll be blowing their load, and people will either A) feel like they're done with the line and not care about Vegeta 3.0 in 2026 or B) stop buying shit because their wallets can't handle Bardock, Kid Buu, Coola, and Imperfect Cell back to back. It can also help build hype when they finally do get to one of these high demand items after so long, like the Ginyu Force.

And I'd trust Bandai's internal marketing and sales data over what the internet thinks is shit no one wants. People said Kid Krillin killed the DB line, and now we're getting a second set of dragon balls at a minimum. Someone obviously buys them. Personally I buy almost everything because I like every saga in some way.

It isn't DF that's making the Omega Shenron. Its someone else, and it legit looks pretty bad. Most of DF's figures that are decent are actually being done by Bandai now. (Ginyu, a new Vegito, etc)

I guess if you don't have Goku Black people say he's pretty decent if you don't have the real one and don't want to pay his aftermarket prices.
