>>8036652I’d be so pumped if they just gave the women something other than the same blank face every time. Give me a smirk on some of them, it makes them seem cool and confident, like a superhero. I’d be okay with it for the dudes too, I just feel like most of my female action figures don’t wear masks so it’s more noticeable. I’d also like a smiling Wolverine please, he needs to look cocky as he’s slicing into everyone. It’s like expressing emotion is reserved exclusively for villain figures, where almost all of them are smiling or gritting teeth.
>>8036689They made a fuss about box art back when the Kingpin wave came out, because they were going to use art instead of promo shots on the back. I think that’s when they started rotating newer artists into the box art on the sides too, instead of just Deodato all the time. If you’re asking if this is the first time a Wave has had one artist do the art on the side of every box, then no, that’s been a thing for a while. Since at least 2018.
>>8036868>>8036876>>8036890The race to find figures in stores is fucking disgusting. The “high” you get from finding a figure isn’t worth the wasted gas money, or the time you could save by just ordering online. The only reason it’s such a thing is because of all the social media where someone gets something early, because they shelled out $100 to get a $20 figure from Thailand to grow their instagram, and now your “want” is intensified, even though the figure will be everywhere for cheaper within a month. That’s why I hate store exclusives, I’m suddenly forced to participate in this stupid race. I found Red Hulk really easily though so now I can go back to having figures sent to my house like a normal person.
>>8037054It’s a good set. Klaw is cool, although his effect can’t stay on his hand at all. And Shuri is surprisingly fun, especially for a female figure. If you’re getting the set for $30 or less, you won’t be disappointed.
