>>8038473>>8038279Like TRON, The Black Hole, and Gargoyles, The Rocketeer is one of those classic yet mostly forgotten original Disney properties that most have a fondness for as they grew up with the film on vhs or in reruns. In their intial releases, these films bombed, but through TV airings and home video releases, comics, and other shit these properties garnered a cult following. I think the execs finally realized this, and have begun capitalizing on it. Plus, Disney Plus as far as I know is aching for new content. So they're really digging deep in the hopes that they'll retain a large audience.
I welcome this, I wish these original properties stood at the forefront of the company over their hostile takeovers.
