The Papo mutants line has some decent affordable figures. Their lion, tiger, rhino and crocodile in particular look great.

I think TC means something like medieval fantasy, Sylvanian is a good line but it's a fairly contemporary rural setting.

Mouse Guard, it's a pretty cool comic if you like Redwall. There's also a table top RPG, but I've never played it so I don't know if it's any good, but it's a cool setting if nothing else.
