I would love to preorder it, however from the pics I see the shoulder joint is still in plastic, even though they stated on the blog it is now die-cast. I am really confused

I own it. It is really awesome and, and the joints are solid thanks to the die-cast. Totally worth the price.
I also pre-ordered the Sentinel renewal, since they say they used die-cast for the joints. In the pics it seems plastic, but maybe they are prototypes. I will wait for new blog posts and videos to judge.
I'm case ai will cancel the preorder

Huh, looks like this fixes my main aesthetic issue with the original and caters to my fetish(translucent cockpit chest). I actually just ordered the KO a few days ago. all three will be different enough to kinda justify it at least. But man that fucking price.

To be fair, KO companies don't have to design, engineer, etc, pay several employees and licensors
They just take the already existing figure and produce their own version
It's still overpriced, for sure, though but it's no wonder KOs and bootlegs would always be cheaper

This should give you an idea for size comparison purposes. I own both original (Sentinel) and bootleg (BC-01). The bootleg blows Sentinel's first release and should have been Sentinel's final product / take on Dancouga. Can't say about the Real Color version and this coming Final Dancouga box set.

It seems pretty solid and the price has steadily gone up, it was $150 a few weeks ago. I don't think you're gonna get a deal that good in a few months so I'd go for it.

Just got my BC-01 Dancouga KO today. Its pretty solid despite the sudden cough I just got making it a bit hard to really play with it. Very sturdy. Only really tells of it being a KO are flash areound the smaller pegs. He's less smooth than the original, but conversely I feel more comfortable manhandling this one so its a worthy compromise. Definitely go for it if you can.
