I was a big fan of the Independence Day Shock Trooper when I was a kid. Really cool paint scheme and the exoskeleton head that opened to reveal the little alien was always fun with these toys.

This was one of the most exciting toylines of my youth. It felt like a collectors item before I knew what that even meant. The packaging felt sleek and stylish, it came with that tantalizing translucent blue floppy disk, the sculpting was incredibly detailed, and the pearlescent-metallic paintwork was beautiful. Plus you had the gimmick with the opening head and the semi-translucent bendy alien inside!

Words fail to describe my excitement at getting one of these for my birthday that year. I still think it's an incredible line, Trendmasters really swung for the fences with this one.

I agree anon. I didn't even see the movie when I was a kid but I was sold on most of the alien toys in the line even if they were all the same mold. The paint schemes were really unique and unlike anything else I had. That giant alien you posted was a childhood favorite. I remember him having some sort of electronics, some sounds or something, but I don't remember what they were. It's been a long time.

There was a line of figures of like bigfoot, and abominable snowman, and some werewolf that was supposed to get an alien but it never came out I think
