These two are entry levels into the line. They're deliberately cheap in order to start people out, and they're both excellent figures. You may just want one or the other since they're basically the same figure with different heads though.

These are honestly the must haves that are currently available at retail. If you want other characters there are definitely more characters available at retail. A lot of must haves imo though are out of stock and expensive now.

The peg on mine broke off inside the connection for the shoulder. But the connection is tight enough on the black part that it hold the arm in place. As long as I don’t pull to hard on the arm, it will stay in place.

SROE Goku does the same thing, but to ensure it never comes off. It was nearly impossible to get off even with hot water. With Jiren it seemed they wanted to simultaneously make it easier to get off, but have insurance it would stick. So you have two connections but one is too tight for turning on some figures. That's my guess anyway, should have abandonned the male peg and worked the female peg better.

I started like 2 months ago and went with the same goal of getting the affordable ones.

Warrior Awakening Goku(by far the best Goku figure)
SS2 Kid Gohan battle damaged
SS Vegeta 2.0
Saiyan armor Trunks(my personal fav version of trunks and real cheap I got him for 30 bucks)
Ultimate Gohan
Frieza resurrection F
Broly armored version
Vegeta SS Blue

Most i paid was 60 bucks for Warrior Awaken Goku and Vegeta blue who seems like he’s shooting up in price unfortunately. Only regret is Ultimate Gohan, should have got the saiyaman instead.

Wouldn’t waste time with Piccolo/cell since they look like shit and are manlets. Piccolo should get a 2.0 within the next year imo. Krillin is stupid expensive and should get a new figure within the same timeframe imo....

That sucks but not really surprising, the arm design sucks. Noticed it when I removed him from the box just for a moment to check if everything was alright, tried to use the crossed arm piece and was baffled at the upper arm construction. I'll be extra careful with mine.

Just be careful, if you notice that the arms don't rotate easily try removing them first without twisting. Lube the joints if the arms of your copy still refuse to rotate without hassle and I think you won't have any breakage problems with it.

It's just a problem of the connection, check my pic and I'll explain. If the red rod isn't fully inserted in that black piece of the shoulder it doesn't rotate freely and that's what breaks it. On my copy the hole in that shoulder is way thighter than the other for some reason, so I removed the upper arm piece so I could check if I was inserting it fully and I just attached and dettached the thing several times being extra careful not to twist it. Now it works like a charm, I can remove the arm really easily, it attaches securely nonetheless and rotates freely.

So yeah, the way to fix this is just removing and reattaching the arms several times witout twisting them. I hope this helps.

The issue here is that the arm isn't correctly attached at the factory, the red piece clicks inside the black one, but the connection is so tight that the factory worker doesn't push it fully inside, and when someone gets their copy and try to rotate the arm, the red rod can't move as intended and it snaps.

I recommend that after removing the whole arm you also remove the upper arm piece (that also clicks in place, on mine it was loose out of the package proving that the arm wasn't fully inserted in place, as there's no room for the upper arm to not be fully attached otherwise) so you can be sure you're fully inserting the problematic part in place until it clicks. Just do that several times and the issue is no more.

Yes. This anon gets it. You shouldn't have to lube your expensive toy's joints, but deffo keep some kinda oil/lubricant on hand.

It's been the case for the xenoverse wrists, my gogeta's waist, the early SSJ Goku hips, and even jirens shoulder ball joints now.

Be careful, work slow, monitor the plastic for stretch marks and use heat.

Had a similar issue with my SAS Diavolo.
The peg wasn't all the way in and the arm acted all wobbly, but turning it was impossible.
Heated it up with a haidryer, popped the arm off, heated up the hole and put it back on.

I feel like odds are god that with the current state of things, and Bandai wanting to fuck around trying the webshop during a perfect storm of shit hitting the fan, any figures across the next 6-12 months that are P-Bandai are probably going to have extremely low print runs as people sort their finances and have to cut the fat. Meaning that these figures are going to explode in price on the aftermarket much like they did in the 1.0 era, or (hopefully) Bandai sees how stupid this plan was and fucks off with P-Bandai outside of Japan after just a couple figures.

Their last attempt at making it relevant failed. Now they're back to trying to cram it down our throats because some guy at Bandai sneezed too hard and got an aneurysm and now he's adamant on pushing the idea through.

For the past 8 years Bluefin was able to distribute P Bandai items wholesale to the u.s. and Canadian retailers. After being acquired, Bandai is using them to make the P Bandai u.s. Dragon stars sizing is kinda limited due to all of them being the same box. I think Broly/Cooler/Cell sizing is as big as it gets. But Zamasu will probably be a complete disaster, and I doubt this is going to be a one-time thing if there's no backlash. They'll keep releasing stuff like that until there's a pushback or it's not lucrative (which could take a while for them to realize)

The Awakening body really is high tier. Too bad the face is a little wack. The SS hair sculpt still looks pretty good but the face is too much like the 1.0 Goku face which looked awful. The eyes were slanted and asymmetrical.

The whole figure definitely looks better with this SSB head though. I wish I could just get a copy of this head with yellow hair.

Just did a quick check and they're all correct. DBZ has the red laces with yellow stripes while Super swaps it for yellow laces with red stripes. God Goku is only accurate to the first appearance.

I agree, it is finicky. More finicky than I'd hoped. I had no problem with the lack of heft on Jiren so long as he was just a good, poseable figure. The breakage is a bit alarming, though. When I get mine, I'll also try to soap him up and make sure the peg is entirely inside of the shoulder.

Fair enough. Admittedly, I don't have risers, so that is a contributing factor, but I feel that I should be able get something acceptable without them, especially considering it's 6 figures, not 12+
It sucks to be a quasi-poorfag. I try to catch just about every new release that interests me and manage, but rarely can I justify buying accessories, effect pieces, risers, separate stands, etc.

Bro if you can afford a figure you can afford some risers. Absolute game changers. Same with ordering extra stands. I think getting the accessories for the display is important. Like if you skip a month, buy some stuff. Like dedicate $50 to buying some risers and stands and it'll go far. Same logic for furnishing a room you know.

I'm on a fun server where we tag eachother with new themes, I got tagged with the theme "Watching Gremlins 2" because it is my favorite movie.

That's the thing, though. I don't only buy Figuarts. For example: April I've got Goku on order, and May I've got the Metal Robot Damashii Barbatos and Figma Jeanne on order, providing that neither of them get delayed.
There's always some new figure I am interested in, and when there's not, there's something else I'm saving up for instead. Rarely does the opportunity ever appear to casually order 20-60 euros of ancillary items 'in the moment'. That's, for me, the nature of Japanese imports. You can afford to sleep on them for a bit, but not too long, so there's a hesitation of taking risks there.
This is all my own problem, I guess, but just trying to add some sort of context. There's always something, it feels like.

I do intend to get risers and more stands, though. The opportunity just isn't there most of the time. It's one of the reasons I kind of welcomed a break from Figuarts releases I wanted, but with SSB Vegito and Full Power Jiren on the way, it doesn't seem that way. Plus, even if Bandai doesn't offer anything of interest to me for a while, GSC and Kaiyodo always seem to be able to fill up any breathing room there.

Started buying early this month since my back row figs were obscured so much.
Now I'm 20k yen in deep. Bulk of it was spent on risers, through got some tamashii stages as well.
Need a few pairs more until I got all my SHF covered.
