I genuinely miss the insane budget prices and top shelf quality toybiz offered back in the day. Pic related was only twenty dollars, and that 20 inch hyper articulated Spiderman they did circa the release of Spiderman 2 was only ten bucks more than this at the time.

I miss the heyday of bionicle, when shelves were flodded with cash ins from every block company under the sun. Of them all, I think Mega Bloks' Marvel Techbots were my favorite. There used to be such artistry to marvel toys before the Disney and Hasbro buy out. Everything is so sterile and clean cut now. A cascade of cookie cutter toys for a cookie cutter generation.

Yeah, they were durable bastards. I got mine when I was 8 or 9, I don't think I put him down for months. He became one of the kings of my toybox. Unfortunately I lost him somewhere along the way, I've been meaning to get a new one for years now.

First ever action figure. My mom and grandma both got me one, not knowing the other had already bought it. Even though it’s clunky looking back, I loved this thing as a kid. So much playability.

I’d go on to get each and every transforming Bruce Wayne that Kenner would do.

- Bruce Wayne/Batman (Animated)
- Decoy Batman (Mask of the Phantasm)
- Transforming Bruce Wayne (Batman Forever)

This was my fucking favorite Batman when I was a kid. The idea of being able to change him to Bruce Wayne on a whim was too cool.

I also loved the animated Batman that did this, and the Robin.

My friend had him and I was jelly as fuck. Said friend lived by the beach, and we would go down to the shore to play with the water features.

That first wave of Web Splashers was golden, the designs were all great and all had super fun play patterns. Not even gonna lie, I kinda wanna rebuy most of them now.

My dude, that IS from the 2009 Iron Man movie toyline. You can tell that armor is visually piggybacking off of the MCU Mk.III design.

Were you thinking of the old armor-up Toybiz line from the 90s?

I'm gonna guess they're ok? There are still Street Sharks in fine condition being sold on eBay. Plus, the skin felt very similar to the old Jurassic Park dinosaurs, and my dinos are just fine to this day.

I miss early 2000's Toybiz much more. They struck the perfect balance between ultra articulated collectible and imaginative toyetic qualities. We lost that with the hasbro buy out. Now everything is so sterile and neatly categorized, when it all used to encompass one beast. It's boring and lifeless, and it exemplifies why companies like Lanard and Jazwares are revered for their efforts.

There was still alot of soul in the beginning of the MCU. You could see alot of that reflected in its merch. I love all the mega bloks marvel merch because of that fact. They perfectly captured the dynamic nature of the characters while being brick figs. To this day I'm still peeved lego nabbed the license from MB. Lego capeshit never looked good in my opinion. Here's the line up they had in the works. Most never saw release.

I always wanted these as a kid, but my parents couldn't afford it. They came out around Halloween, I still remember seeing commercials for them. Maybe one day I'll get one for cheap. I honestly don't know if they've held up at all through the years or degrade quickly. Either way, these guys were badass.

That toyline was actually adapted from the Metal Heroes series Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya. The show never got an American release but it was apparently pretty popular in Brazil and other parts of South America and Europe. So you probably somehow picked it up from that.
