It's a shame, really. Between Calico Critters and Playmobil, you get *some* pieces, sets, accessories that work well with Joes or other 1:18 stuff, and the rest just won't scale well enough. I hate buying a $20 (or more) set just to get a few pieces while the rest is useless.
Also, I think Calico Critters took its biggest loss when TRU folded, they were our main source in the US. Fuck, I'll never get over the loss of TRU, even if my bank account is better off.
