Why do some companies feel the need to start a series off with incredibly specific one-off sculpts? Unless a specific episode is massively well loved how is one particular sculpt like that any point to begin with? Just make a really basic version that anyone could go for instead of a Mcdonalds gimmick toy style sculpt.

Christ. Azula and Toph were who I wanted most besides Zuko. They look god awful. Also I hate that they're jumping around the series so much. Why didn't they just start off with Book 1 stuff?

Ozai looks great, the Avatar State Aang looks good but that partially reuses sculpts from wave 1

Sokka's decent

Toph's kinda bad but maybe they'll improve it, biggest issue is the face

S1 Aang and Azula look pretty bad. Only reason I'd get the Aang at this point is for the open glider and maybe for the alternate Momo, though I have Momo already from the Wave 1 release.

I've got the Wave 1 wide release Aang, Katara, and Zuko, and then I got the Walgreens ExclusiveAang so I can cannibalize the staff, face, and maybe hands as accessories. The Zuko and Katara accessories from the Walgreens ones aren't that great so I won't bother getting them

and apparently there was another Walgreens Exclusive Aang that I discovered and went ahead and got, he looks kinda neat. Made of translucent plastic. haven't opened any of them yet

Diamond Select also put the first of their LOTR figures up for pre-order. I was originally only going to buy Frodo and Aragorn but apparently they're doing a BAF 13 inch Sauron.

I do think these guys look good, at least in these prototype stages. The Aragorn's head sculpt is really nice, and Gimli's looks really good too. I do hope their hands can grip weapons well, as Gimli and Legolas have these weird open hands that will hopefully be good. I'm looking forward to these, and hopefully they turn out well.
