I had a pack released from customs in Moscow the same day a shipper from Poland said that international shipping was closed and flights from EU to US were stopped. That was just about a month ago, still no sign of it

Need advice from experienced importers...

I bought some stuff from auctions totaling almost 60 pounds. I planned to go with Japan Post surface mail, cheapest option that splits it into 3 packages and takes 3 months, but now I'm scared for it not having tracking and all this fuckery involving the USPS and virus. Should I spend a whole $50 USD more to use FedEx? I dont care how long it takes, i could wait a year even, but I don't know how often large, heavy packages get lost in the mail yet I also need to save money.

I'm in the USA.

Stuff I've ordered from Canada has taken a little longer than normal.

I ordered two figures from China while the virus was still only in China. They took like 2 months to get here.

I haven't ordered anything from outside of NA since it hit the fan everywhere.

UPS and USPS are still going as if nothing happened for me. Amazon is the only thing that has had massive delays. Their month long delay on literally anything has made me stop buying from them.

I had something coming from Amazon too that was supposed to show up last week. According to USPS Tracking, they got a number for it and never shipped it. Even before all of this Corona-Shit I was starting to lose my patience with Amazon, but this is just the last straw. If it doesn't magically show up tomorrow, I'm cancelling everything I have with them.

Japan Post announced delays with international shipping a few weeks ago, there's a thread about it in catalog (>>8087892) but it's been varied. some people have said their packaged have moved like normal while others have reported delays.
my March order posted March 27th, moved to Tokyo outbound April 11th, passed through New York ISC the 13th and will be out for delivery today the 15th.
