Super7: Pixel Dan interview Edition

No.8098698 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Pixel Dan interview Brian Flynn since SDCC is cancelled and Power-Con probably will be too.

>Super7 wants to do a Turtles Party Wagon, and has said that producing Snake Mountain has really opened a lot of doors on producing playsets and vehicles.

>Super7 is starting to add cloth goods options in their toys. The new Splinter figure has both a plastic robe and a cloth goods robe that lets him pose.

>Mattel doesn't own Masters as a media property, Universal Pictures does, so Super7 can do merch, just not toys, since they have the license for merch from Universal. Brian thinks Netflix She-Ra is dead, because he says he doesn't see any figures for it on shelves anymore and has asked about the license. Mattel doesn't know what they're doing with the property or MOTU right now, and because of that they're not letting other companies license MOTU as far as toys go. They had more MOTU toys planned and wanted to do a movie Trooper figure for the Classics line.

>Brian really wants to do vintage He-Man style Thundercats, but is concerned funko might bitch and try to sue if Super7 attempts to make other toylines in that style since funko is also doing similar style figures(although they appear to be not releasing anymore).

>A bunch of BIG LICENSES are coming for 2021 that Brian says he can't reveal and will be surprising and shocking that they managed to get. He jokes at one point about the possibility of Street Sharks, but it's unclear if it was a hint.

>Also a bunch of pre-order figures should start arriving in the next month.
