Max Armor's ankle revolvers are too stiff to move and the buster lens fell apart into two halves when I clipped it off the runner. Some of the part halves are misalligned like the thighs and the calf armor and needed heavy sanding to smooth out. The polycap balls are chewing themselves up and falling out of the ankle. The thigh polycaps fit in loosely so the legs were wobbling around until I stuffed paper behind them.
Eva's little hook mechanism under the entry plug snapped when it was new because that was also too damn tight, and re-broke while I was painting it because they left the mechanism open and the base coat managed to seize it up, AFTER I seam-welded everything. In retrospect I should've pried under it with a toothpick or something but it snapped under very little force. The umbilical plug fell apart at the cable port because it was so damn thin, and I haven't even begun to paint the thing. The knee halves had the same misalignment issue I mentioned with X. It's not 01, but 00's plug port column was under-injected but thankfully the short-shot section is hidden.
That's not even touching on the bizarre engineering decisions, like splitting color separations in half to interlock around other color separations instead of just stacking everything together like Bandai does. In fact Max Armor X WILL mostly stack together if you cut some pegs and the bottoms of tab slots out, which means it's a deliberate redesign that doesn't particularly improve how well it stays together.
