Do these appeal to anyone? I get it if it's the only form you can get your want in. But I have the Ash vs Evil Dead Ash from neca and that is world's better than that thing.

They sell extremely well, there's a reason we're already getting up to series 4 and 5. So yes, they do appeal to a lot of people.

Too tiny sadly, NECA really needs to get around to the Scooby gang for this line.

Randy was talking on Twitter about them wanting to do Ghost Face in the series, so that's for sure in the future. I'd be shocked if an Alien and Predator don't show up too.

Thanks for making a horror general. I used to make them but they barely got any traction. I'll dump my thoughts here;

After NECA put out their fish man from Shape of Water I've been DYING for them to give me a Gillman from Creature of the Black Lagoon, and all of the other universal monsters. Most of Diamond Select universal monsters are outdated. NECA has been putting out 10/10 releases with their horror ultimates, Universal Monsters would be a dream to see in the ultimates line.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do Nosferatu though, not that he's universal, but he's royalty free.

I'm not ususally a MOC collector, but I do buy all of Super7's univeral monster reaction figures and hang them on my wall, since the illustrations on the cardback make for really cool art. The next wave of them have some deep cuts for universal monster characters, and I'm all about that obscure shit.

I would be more compelled to buy NECA's Toony Terrors line but the poses for so many of them are so dull. The Nun looks like the best one.

What are the best Jason and Michael figures?
I'm considering the Necas to go with my Ash, but I'd want classic Michael instead of Halloween 2 and Halloween 2018 Michael. Plus the face sculpt on Halloween 2 Michael feel weird to me.
Was considering Freddy Vs Jason Jason but Idk.
Do I just bight the bullet?

H2 Michael is a wonderful figure, but if you really want the first movie...pretty much the Mezco One:12 or the Cult Classic figure are your only options. The rights are just too much of a mess to get proper product.

As for Jason, depending on how you like him (be it a deformed tard human or a zombie), I'd say Part 4 or indeed the FvJ figure are your best bets. Maybe Part 6 if you like that workman glove and toolbelt look.

Not counting the retro styled stuff, NECA's only got the 2018 Michael and the H2 Michael. I think H2 Michael is perfect. If the sculpt feels weird to you is it because the actual sculpt is off or cus Michael had a wider face in that movie? I feel like it's accurate to that movie. The suit actor had a wide head.

As far as Jasons go, I think the best one hands down the the impostor Jason from part 6 if you would count that. That one has best articulation and comes with every weapon he uses in the movie.
But for actual Jasons, Freddy vs Jason is not a bad choice. If you like huge zombie Jason that's really your only choice, but he's good. Any of their Jasons would be an alright choice really, just comes down to preference.

I want them bad. I managed to win the Non-GITD Gillman on ebay loose in mint condition, but holy shit, they go for a lot. I don't even want to know how much they'd go for carded.

I got the Mezco One:12 Frankenstein, and I love how his proportions seem accurate, and doesn't look overly puffy or wide like all their super heroes.
I'm kinda bummed his articulation is lacking though. No wrist OR ankle articulation? I know he's not a gymnast, but come on.
And they never made any more universal monsters after Frankenstein. I guess he didn't sell well?
