I absolutely love the ambition behind it though(each lion has a pilot that can be placed inside, scale be damned, and a replica key). Mattel also did a smaller , non transforming figure called blazing Sword voltron thats also the most screen accurate.
The best Voltron figure is the Chogokin, though. Its more of a balance of show accuracy and homaging the old toy. The Playmate Voltron in the OP takes a lot of the design and replicates it in a much cheaper way.
