All these years later, and it's still my favorite toy. Has "engineering" surpassed it now? In some ways, of course. In others, no. It's all those little touches mentioned already that just make him so special: the hydraulics, the arm screens, the button making the mask move... glorious.
You also can't understate the sheer majesty of the beast.

Sure, he's heavy af, unweildy to pose, not "muh cartoon accurate", but who fucking cares?
I bought an MP-10 when that came out, and was disappointed in comparison. (Honestly, I think all MP's from 10 onward are too bloody small. They lack presence.)
Checking ebay, MP01's seem to range from 100-300 depending on release.
Save your pennies, Anon. He's worth every one of them.
