I picked up a Canon 500D quite a few years back for around £180 on CEX and that does the business just perfectly for toy photography as well as general other photography uses.
I have to imagine that you would be able to pick up a newer model than mine for your budget if you aren't too opposed to non new cameras.
Definitely aim for something that isn't a point and shoot though, having the ability to switch out your lenses is definitely helpful when shooting toys.
