>>8138653The oldest / first 3P I got (and still do have) is probably FansProject Nemesis Commander. While I can't find an actual invoice for him, I have one from HasbroToyShop for May 2010 for voyager class Nemesis Prime, so I can only assume that it happened around that time. I can't really give his praise for anything today other than I still think he makes the base figure look cooler. He's really a case of "a product of his time," and that time has long since past.
I also have an eBay invoice for the same month for RotF Bruticus Maximus, along with a pre-order on FPJ Explorer & Mutinioner, but those latter two weren't actually released until August. I like the way the make Bruticus look, but I haven't used them as actual figures for 9.5 years. Explorer some times has troubles doing "arm things" correctly, but I'll also give them credit for probably making pioneering steps for giving the gestalt articulated fingers, even if they are a tad...fiddly.
Both of these aren't really anything special today, but they do give a fond sense of nostalgia of those early days.
