But When you start adding in the cost of the banpresto, the time to get both, the time to customise it. Suddenly you have a figure that cost you 2/3's of a figma, took an hour or two of time and still looks a lot worse.
Unless you happen to get both for a sale price then i suppose it goes back to being reasonable.
I mean, i dont want to poop on that dudes effort too much as its pretty cool and a good job, but it doesn't seem worth it to me.

All fair enough reasons. I personally have never reaslly bought multiples of many characters, let alone across lines. But i get why others might like to do so.
How much did it cost all up? The figma is gonna be what $65-70 (well plus another $10 postage i guess), you must have got the mcfarlane/banpresto at a nice price to equal half that
