>>8177438I always pinned the fall of new adventures on two things, the weak designs and the die hard filmation fans.TNA is filled with an abundance of great ideas and concepts that all play out well, but it leaves behind alot of questions too.
From what I recall we never really learned what happened to skeletor's original cronies, the aesthetic of the show is too much of a departure from it's classic iteration (appearing closer to flash gordon than it did conan or star wars),
and alot of the new additions lacked the punch of the classic characters (Flipshot and Hydron come to mind).
I love the premise,"He-man in the future" is a perfect evolution of the concept. By adding more star wars elements to the mix, it really gives you a sense that the world is always evolving and growing. But He-man doesn't look the part, and alot the shit from the original show doesn't carry over. They never acknowledge She-ra or the Horde, or for that matter the bulk of the original cast. That's alot of important information to pass by, especially for the die-hard fans.
Personally, despite enjoying the show (it's a fun flash gordon/john carter esc romp) I wish they had either gone with the "He-Ro" continuation plans, or the other option, the next generation of eternia stuff. I think either of those would have
proven to be more satisfying continuations, because you would have provided something new while acknowledging and respectfully building onto what had come before.
